is van helsing any good? ive never seen it. is it worth owning on blu ray? if the movie is good what can you compare it to?

It's a dramedy about a monster slayer who falls in love with a princess, I think it's an excellent movie. If you like Kate Beckinsale, Hugh Jackman and Stephen Sommers, you should love this movie.

Well, I bit on this one. I'm a sucker for this kind of goofy picture and Amazon has it for $13.99. Should look and sound great on Blu as well.

If you like the mummy, gi joe then you will like van hel sin, is pure action film. Not much of plot, very heavy use of special effect NON STOP ACTION.

I would rent it first, it was a terrible movie. The original Mummy was entertaining, but this movie was bad, just my opinion.

It's atrocious, but the kind of campy atrocious that I can stomach. But no, it's not good in the typical sense, and it's far too long.

It was ok. Certainly not as great as I expected. But kinda corny fun.

It's funny that Hugh Jackmen is basically playing the exact same character as Wolverine.

I actually never finished the film, it was so bad and I couldn't take it anymore.
But I really wanted to like it as it has everything I love (dracula, wolfman, vampires) but it's not enough to be entertaining.

I love all those things too and I liked Sommers MUMMY flicks -- but this
was terrible on every level

I was initially excited about this as i have the DVD and remembered liking it, but after reading some reviews basically just bashing it, i started to wonder if i didn't like it

i watched a bit of the DVD last night and yeah it's not as great as i remember it being years ago when i first saw it...i think i'll hold off on the Bluray for at least a bit

Its a movie I am very interested in.Considering it has Kate Beckinsale in it,doesnt hurt at all.
Not sure how well the actors played their roles(charecters)in the film,but I see the Forum was not very kind on it,with the Review they Issued.

I will probably rent it before I make a purchase.Unless months from now I have forgotten about it and find it on sale for @ $15.00 or under.
Or,I may also pick-it-up,if I find it on the Forums Trading thread for a good price used($10-$12)
