I think its been $15 since its release, I got mine for $10 during the upgrade and save promo at Best Buy last time around.

Just got around to watching this last night. The movie is not very good but it looks great and the 3D adds to it. It is worth the 14.99 price. I didn't expect a lot from the story and it didn't deliver much. I'd call it passable entertainment.

This is $11.98 on Amazon right now -- I know it's been cheaper. Is it worth it? I've never seen this movie and I do enjoy mindless action. How is the 3D? Did you ever get around to buying/seeing it Zivouhr?

Its still $8 at walmart in Canada if that helps

This movie is perfectly serviceable for mostly mindless action. The performances are deliberately over the top, which makes it even better. Far better than similar titles like Running Man or Nerve.

I haven't seen Godfather, Casino or Scarface yet (have them all, though).

I'll admit, it's a lot harder for me to like older movies. I still think OHMSS is one of the best Bond movies I've seen, so I'm not against them all. Lol.

Nice! Another fan of OHMSS. My fav as well.

Yeah a lot of those older hyped movies I've come in on late I generally didn't like. Especially those Mob type ones you list. I finally saw Goodfellas and Scarface and to be honest I wasn't that fussed. I guess I need some semblance of a main character in a movie that doesn't disgust me.

I found this on blu ray 3D new for $4.99 on sale awhile back. Weak, mild 3D layering throughout, a disappointment in 3D IMO. I believe it's one of those cheap automatic conversions that they have the computer calculate for most of it. Like with Predator, Jumper and I Robot. And the movie is definitely not what I was hoping for. I saw it in theaters and was hoping the 3D would make it more enjoyable, but it didn't. The story and characters I could not get into. At all. And I like Gerard Butler in other films. This movie Gamer, reminds me of Crank with Jason Statham.

Ready Player One was a much better film about video game simulation with much better 3D in the medium to high medium range.

3D layering: 3/10 mild, weak 3D layering through most of it. Can't remember the pop outs, I'll have to watch it again if that's possible.

I have only seen this in 2D,but i have had the 3D version for a while.
WHen i saw it in 2D it thought it was a fun movie, so i look forward to seeing it in 3D

In the earlier post, I meant to say I first saw it in theaters, and then thought maybe the 3D at home for a cheap sale price would make the film more enjoyable, but it didn't. Just wanted to clear up that in theaters it was 2D, and only for home blu ray 3D, did they offer the 3D auto conversion.

If it had strong 3D, that might have helped, but this was very mild.

Thanks! That would explain why they feel so similar in style. Unfortunately, the style is not my style. Same with the director Olivier Megaton, who directed and edited the rapid fire film cutting of the Taken 2 and 3 movies, ruining them. Transporter 3 too though that wasn't as bad.
