I'm all for paying a £ or two for a SB over amaray. The regular releases of these with almost identical artwork covers have been £25 each.

So to pay an extra £30 overal for both just because they're steels and still dont include the extras is laughable

Held out in buying the set, to begin with, in hopes of an unaltered version but I may cave on these..they'll look nice next to my unaltered DVD metal case set of the original trilogy.

£13 per steelbook would be reasonable for Star Wars if they are individual. For a trilogy, that would be £39, and we would probably all be fine with that price, but it seems very excessive that it's £39 for one steel with 3 discs. Lots of steelbooks are 3 disc and some even 4 disc. What they are charging for is the individual movies. I can see £29, but £39 seems like a bloated profit gouge, especially considering that these don't even contain the extras.

I don't have any of these movies, but I'm not sure what I want to do yet. I am holding out for Amzn's price. If it's lower, combined with the 20% off for non VAT, I may bite, but it's really iffy for me. £78 is a lotta coin. Far more expensive than the collector's set. Hmm. I'm repeating what everyone else already said here. Sorry

Exactly - have been. They're now both over £30 each. And, as I say, I'll only be getting these if someone has them for £30 each.

Lucasfilm get the majority of the Star Wars profits I believe - Fox just get a distribution percentage, at least for Episodes I - III and V - VI. Episode IV is owned by Fox so they do get the majority of that profit.
