Current NZ JB Price:

2D $NZ25 *Special
3D $NZ39
3D MetalPack $NZ39

Sales counter staff wouldn't apply the 20% Off as it was a 'new release'. Even though it doesn't have any exclusions written on the signs.

Entourage, Inherent Vice and A Most Wanted Year were all new releases and they gave me the discount, weird.

Surely the B&W version is a cash-in by Warners and Roadshow? I'll just put the colour saturation hand brake on and pump the contrast pedal.

It's not really a cash grab, as George Miller expressed his thoughts on releasing a B/W edition well before it hit Blu-ray originally... so we all knew it was coming.

Here's a comparison video that was posted in the Fury Road US Thread:

It's fairly cheap too.. $24NZ last time I saw. Might just grab this and give away the original, which I got for a mere $12.50.

OK I've just watched this and Black & Chrome doesn't quite describe it. It's kinda Black & Blue & Chrome, with the night time scenes having a blue cast over them, kinda like those old-timey movie tint.... (Phantom Carriage, Trip to the Moon, Phantom of the Opera, Nosferatu...)

But... the CGI is far less intrusive, the opening scene with the groan-worthy two-headed lizard seems a lot less so, and there also seems to be an abundance of detail here, so it's quite an interesting experiment.

One other thing - how were there not a hell of a lot of casualties on the set. The stunts are absolutely outrageous FFS.

Digital wire removal. The cancer of Health & Safety has spawned since the carefree days of Guy Norris.
