This show is fantastic. Burton really hit a home run here. Ricci is featured quite a bit which is great too. The cast is stellar. Really hope MGM gets to release this fine show on 4K or Blu-Ray. Wonder if there will be a 2nd season i think its very popular.

I don't see there being much of any chance it doesn't get a second season. It's a bit surprising that they haven't renewed it already, but it's been promoted heavily and it seems to be extremely popular so far. I still expect it to happen at some point.

I look forward to starting this at some point. It will probably be a while, but it's not like it's going anywhere. I'm glad it turned out to be good.

Finished it all in one day, and loved it. One of my favorite things I've seen this year. I'm sure a second season will be announced soon enough, but I wouldn't be surprised if they also announce a third. Seems very successful from what I can tell. Hard agree on the Harry Potter vibes too.

Absolutely loved and adored this. It dip unfortunately dip a little towards the finale but Jenna Ortega as Wednesday was amazing and generally the whole cast was great. 9.5/10 from me on first watch. I wasn't wholly convinced by the appearance of a certain character near the end, that's probably one of the few castings that didn't leave me thinking they nailed it, but my experience is with the Raul Julia movies and whatnot, so perhaps a little biased towards that interpretation and expectation.

Overall though, also surprised they are holding off on the renewal announcement but it genuinely is inevitable. The tone for this, was just absolutely perfection in blending the dark with the whimsical. Burton may have set it up, but the rest really did well to maintain things.

After having finished it but with family members watching it episodes behind, you begin to notice things you kind of missed on the first go round which seemed innocuous or like they didn't mean anything.

This show is hugely entertaining. Loved the deadpan delivery of the lead actress, the Tim Burton craziness, and all the little references to the classic Addams Family show. I squeezed it in just before my Netflix subscription ended today and am glad I did.

Apparently the debut was hugely successful for Netflix, with more first-week views than Stranger Things:

placements):

I said I was over and done
with that crazy ole Tim Burton


I once beat up a torn curtain
because it looked like Burton


Most Burton movies
They're worse than piss


But with this new show Wednesday
I stop and I said "What's this?"


Yeah we have Tim Burton
Goin' goth all again


And with Luis Guzman as Gomez
Man, do we deserve this pain?


But, wait, there's Morticia
As played by Catherine Zeta Jones


And holy crap Johnny Depp's not here
I can't see anything here to moan


Look at all these visuals
And I having a good time


I'm actually kinda enjoying myself
Plus Jenna Ortega is fine


On my face there is no frown
but a big ole smile instead


And as I watch, I can't believe,
I wanna put a bullet in my head


This show is a lot of fun
and the characters are so neat


I'd even say it has a heart
And at times it kinda sweet


Maybe when Burton's adapting a family
that's when he hits that note


Oh, crap, and then I remembered:
He did that Dark Shadows


So many crappy movies Burton's given to show biz
But hey, this show ain't so bad but maybe his next work is

I liked this good enough and watched every episode.

The good: Ortega was very good as were her room mate and the 2 guys vying for her. It also had some atmosphere and looked good. I look forward to more episodes.

The bad: I had a problem with Zeta Jones and the guy playing Gomez. They were wrongly cast and am surprised at the good reviews they are getting. They had no chemistry whatsoever and were very awkward acting. The guy playing Gomez wasn't the easiest face to look at especially with those off color teeth. Zeta Jones always looked like she was comatose. Whenever they were on screen, I couldn't wait for scene to end. Also, the references to the Harry Potter movies were blatant.

I think it's cool they got those maybe homages in if intentional but that scene was just awesome. Loved how deadpan her expression was and the kookiness of the dance moves were strangely reminiscent of a Tik Tok attempt almost but didn't stray into the social media shtick at all. Its literally just her.

One thing my sister said that i didn't really notice, but they attempted to have her almost never blink at all anytime she's on screen that detail when i became aware of it became unnerving a little but also so brilliant for her.

The beautiful show and one of the best in 2022. Very stylish, sarcastic and funny sometimes. Visually show is awesome. Rich deep colors and contrast you just enjoy with every scene. Huge difference from muddy dim picture in some other shows...

Really loved dance in 4 episode. ��

Zeta-Jones and Armisen were both not good choices for their respective characters.
