I unironically really enjoyed Incredibly Strange Creatures and Blood Shack was a fun little pronto-slasher

Skid Row Slasher and Las Vegas Serial Killer were the ones I was mostly interested in but ultimately I found them disappointing because of their repetition of killings which got boring. All in all, a really fun set. Steckler seemed like a great dude from the few clips i’ve seen of him speaking, he just loved making movies by any means necessary. I still have the last few discs to finish in the future

I’ve only made my way through the first 3 and a 1/2 discs so far (up through Rat Pfink a Boo Boo). I’d only seen Incredibly Strange Creatures… before. I’ve loved every minute so far. I dunno, there’s just something…weird and “off”/unique about his films that put them above the typical “bad” movie.

Was Charlie (and Donald) Kaufman from Adaptation a fan of The Thrill Killers? It totally ends with Donald’s movie pitch.

“I’m putting in a chase sequence. So the killer flees on horseback with the girl, the cop’s after them on a motorcycle and it’s like a battle between motors and horses, like technology vs. horse.”

So nobody else had this issue? I noticed this on some Arrow chipboards too. My Hills Have Eyes UHD had this issue. I tried to flatten it and made it worse of course. Now there’s a crease through it

I just checked my copy and the back has no creases at all. On the front there is a crease at the upper left which I believe happened during shipping. It was sent in a wrap around cardboard mailer and it appears that something heavy pushed against it.

As of last week, I’ve watched all the movies on the first 7 discs (ie. before the porn), and a decent chunk of the special features. This is probably up there with my favorite boxsets of the year. The movies are delightfully weird, and the special features and booklet are great.

Is any of the porn worth watching? By “worth watching”, I mean is any of it entertaining/watchable in the way Steckler’s earlier movies are, or is all just depressing and gross?

What I’m seeing definitely didn’t occur during shipping. Seems to be a manufacturing issue.

If you have the patients I'm sure you will eventually find it for around half of list price. It's not limited so there isn't any real rush.

Bought this earlier today for a little bit more than half off from Amazon used, so I’m pretty excited to watch these movies.

For $113 (including tax), it’s not a bad deal at all.

Hopefully it’ll be a good time.

This is a knockout set. All the Steckler classics, a gajillion extras, a thick informative entertaining book, and fantastic and clever art design. Also, RAT PFINK A BOO BOO has some of the funniest shit ever.
