Was waiting for a Blu-ray.com review of the Jack the Ripper Blu-ray set, before deciding whether to get it or not. The very positive review has helped. There was that and (besides the eventual Randall and Hopkirk (Deceased) Blu-ray boxset) Hell Drivers which have been released in the last few weeks which I've wanted to get directly from Network, along with some DVD film and TV titles.

Is the first post just supposed to be a list of what's available now? Long OOP and incredibly rare but released on BD by Network is the fabulously creaky Space Patrol which gave HD transfers of the only surviving 35mm episodes and HD transfer of an unbroadcast pilot.

Space Patrol I got last year and its still available from the same seller for around £25. He also has Star Cops and Moonbase 3 - another 2 long OOP Network titles.
I wonder if he used the same access route as the sellers who managed to list the Network website Exclusive Department S Volume 1 Bluray for under £4 a few weeks back
Something is dodgy as I don't know where all these mint copies are showing up from. I got a Star Cops, convincing and dual layer, which isn't the norm if it is a bootleg. Maybe some old overstock that couldn't be sold as they'd lost their licence?

Network also did a limited website exclusive run of Space Patrol on DVD a while back after the original release had gone OOP. IIRC was a limited order window then that was it. My copy comes from that.

Space Patrol BD went OOP at the warehouse fire despite not being out all that long. I guess they didn't bother repressing if the licence was due to expire soon.

Now that they have a new deal with the BBC Star Cops is the one original deal title I hope they re-release.

Moonbase 3 was actually released by Second Sight.

Might be of interest to Gerry Anderson completists:

Dick Spanner PI - DVD 04/09/17

Episodic and 4:3 rather than omnibus and/or 16:9. However the listing doesn't mention if they include the original music or that used on the old DVD.

No classics but there are some good gags. Will probably pick this up as the VHS editions are the omnibus edits and I'm interested to see them as broadcast.

This looks good to: Nigel Kneale's The Crunch and other stories - DVD 25/09/17

EDIT: Also the forthcoming British Film blu-rays are a very reasonable £8:13 ppd, though despite a significantly redesigned site it seems Network are still not taking pre-orders on non-special promotion items. Can someone post here if that changes any time soon?

I remember Dick Spanner...was young and don't recall seeing much of it. Was it on really late on Channel 4?

Didn't Network announce that Randall & Hopkirk was to be released in a complete boxset once the individual volumes were all released? I know people buying those get the box to put their collection in, but I have been waiting for the one off purchase version. Is this still happening?

Regular volumes have had minor delays so the Randall set scheduled for September could possibly have a similar delay - likewise with Department S

I'm going to place an order direct with Network as it's £5 cheaper than Amazon. I'll let you know when I receive it

I ended up ordering direct too so I can answer myself!

It's 16mm sourced isn't it? If it is then it looks great. Proper restoration. Can tell it's been cleaned up and "grain managed" for consistent grain as per other Network restorations but not blasted and grain is still present.

The 16:9 version is a waste of space to me, just looks uncomfortable in that ratio but it's just an extra.
