currently my second least favorite Pixar film (miles ahead of Cars), which doesn't mean it's bad, it's still fun, enjoyable, entertaining and a great film. it's just way too long and i'm not interested in food or Paris that much so the film didn't "hook" me like it does some (jhiggy ).

PQ: 5/5 - it's Pixar, so duh.
AQ: 5/5 - lots going on. great sound. no complaints.

4/5
My least fave Pixar movie

But I'm thinking of seconding Pixar day (might change it to week) in the lead up to Toy Story 3s release in the UK.

mine is Cars. what did you think of Ratatouille? did you like it but it just wasn't for ya, or did you not really like it at all?

i think my Pixar order would be...

Toy Story 5/5
Toy Story 2 5/5
A Bug's Life 4.5/5
Up 5/5
Monster's, Inc. 5/5
Wall-E 4.5/5
Ratatouille 4/5
Cars 3/5 (used to be 2.5/5, but i upped it up)

i haven't seen The Incredibles or Finding Nemo either in their entirety or for many, many years so i'm not putting them on the list until i see them (and i'm trying to hold out until their blu-ray releases)

i know bro im just messin with ya.

I like so much because of the cool story and how authentic Paris feels. It sometimes convinces me that its not a animated movie.

Cars is my least favorite too. It took me a couple of viewings to actually start liking it. I'd give it a 4/5.

The Incredibles and Finding Nemo are awesome and deserve this Pixar brand

I like them all, but Up and Ratatouille in particular. Up has the most depth. Ratatouille has my favorite character.

Only the best Miyazaki films surpass Pixar in my opinion when it comes to animation. Up gets close to that level of emotion though. Miyazaki has a way of showing everyday things that we take for granted and showing the simple pleasure in them. And I love the way his characters express joy, trust, love, friendship, honesty and a bunch of important stuff.

A Bug's Life

i've always enjoyed A Bug's Life. it seems to be a Pixar film that people constantly either hate or forget about. it's a shame really because it's a great film. i always forget that this was Pixar's second film (behind the classic and timeless Toy Story) and i think that's why it gets a lot of heat. but i don't get where it comes from.

terrific, fun characters all with their own distinct personalities. and while Flick may not necessarily be the greatest "lead man" in Pixar history (ooh, there's an interesting topic ) i still enjoy him and his quirky, wacky ways. also featuring what may be the top villain in Pixar history (possibly behind only Sid from TS) with Hopper (Kevin Spacey is such a bad ass with his voice here ), the film is always a fun one to watch.

hiring circus bugs as warriors is just genius. and the panic and terror with the birds is 100x more frightening for the characters than the humans for the monsters in Monster's, Inc. imo. but both are excellent.

fast paced, witty, great, hilarious dialogue and a pretty dark and totally awesome ending.
love it. gonna stay with the rating i've always given it though, but it may move up eventually.
highly recommended

PQ: 5/5 outstanding as always, and the details here are jaw dropping
AQ: 5/5 no complaints. love it.

4.5/5

That is a pretty solid list. I didn't really like A Bug's Life as much as I liked Wall-E. Personally I would change those two ratings around. I would give Wall-E a 4/5 and A Bug's Life a 3.5/5 ... I would have to agree with you on Ratatouille and Monsters Inc. Up would definitely have to be up there with 5/5 also

I've got it in my collection, so I don't mind it, I like it enough that I'll watch it, but I always find it such hard work to watch it.

My Pixar list goes

Wall-e 10/10
Up 10/10
Toy Story 9.5/10
Monsters Inc 9.5/10
Toy Story 3 9.5/10 (Though I probably need to see this one again to finalize it position)
The Incredibles 9/10
Toy Story 2 9/10
A Bugs Life 8.5/10
Finding Nemo 8/10
Cars 7/10
Ratatouille 6/10

I haven't seen The Incredibles nor Toy Story 3 as of this post so I don't know where they would rank. Must remedy this!

Disliked Wall-E. It was annoying and annoying cliche.

Wall-E

i've recently reviewed this so i'll keep it short

- love the character of Wall-E
- the first 10 minutes or so are absolutely wonderful, and some of the best work Pixar has ever done. no dialogue, just beautiful visuals and directing as Wall-E is busy at work
- very interesting story wise, and very brave of Pixar to make a very "adult", low dialogue kids animated film
- not a big fan of the last act where it becomes a giant chase sequence. feels like too many other films are starting off so fresh and original, but that's my only major complaint.

PQ: 5/5 - absolutely amazing
AQ: 5/5 - great sound. tons of detail

4.5/5

A Goofy Movie 5/5
No PQ/AQ review as it's off a TV broadcast. Always loved this movie about a father trying desperately to connect to his son and his son just trying to fit in. Highly recommended for all and I hope it gets a blu-ray release soon.

This is one of those rare moments when I have to disagree with you. Of course I also liked Silent Running (1972)!
