In my explanations, I started to point out that Captain America looked better than most earlier conversions. I have noticed that some of the first ones are no where no near what they can produce now.

Personally I loved Thor's 3D! Much better than people give it credit for imo. The snow world stuff looks fantastic in 3d.
While cap's is good, I felt like it looked less polished than Thor's. The errors felt more obvious in that one to me, even if they are largely negligible. There's still a lot of goodie to the 3d however ![]() Green lantern was pretty disappointing in 3d. Some really strong 3d shots, but the 3d felt a lot weaker than I remember it being in the theater. John Carter is one of the very best conversions I've ever seen, almost nothing feels flat and the errors are very very minimal and only noticeable if you're looking. A must own for 3d IMO! |

The other ones I enjoy a lot for movies, and even 3D (Especially the 3D in John Carter, which seems mostly like hybrid conversion (mostly rendered CGI 3D with converted 2D to 3D humans/scenery)). Even Thor's 3D, which I don't think looks as bad as others might suggest. It has pretty decent 3D layers. Quote:

I've started buying from a seller on ebay just the 3D movies he splits sets up and sells them individually.
you get the original 3D disc, the cover and the 3d slipcover. It may be worth getting it that way so you get to keep your 2D version, he sells them a lot cheaper than getting the 4 or 5 disc set, about 10 to 15 dollars each. Last edited by pelham123; 07-01-2012 at 01:46 AM. |

Where/when do places have sales on 3D Blu Rays? I know BB sometimes does. I personally think $30-35 is too steep. Can we maybe get a thread going where people post deals? Is there a site that does this?
