Gorgeous game and I like a challenge but losing an hour or two of progress after a death is just boring to me. Off to redbox it goes, bummer as I really do like the asthetic and game play.

Two houses at the lower end of the road during your first trip to the Cathedral, when you have to bypass the cemetery with the two giants, because it's locked, just past the first enemy you encounter with the flame sprayer, I believe, you will find Arianna on one side and the guy who calls you a liar on the other.

My PS4 power settings shut it down for me to day. Forgot about that. So no memory drain bonus. That's okay, though, I usually check out Drive Club first, as I can't drive once the adrenalin gets flowing.
Am about to look for Crow in upper part of building right before sewers. So you mean the real big guys right in the round cemetery, not when you make it to the Ward. Are they safe to put in the ward? You can spoiler tag it just in case others care.

Ok I know where you mean. 3-4 They talked last time but wouldn't do or give a sheet.
Oh when do I have to start working on keeping these people safe from hunters?

When you have to send them, I don't know. I also know there is more than one killer among them, and I suspect it's
[Show spoiler]the beggar from Forbidden Woods and the old lady
based on my game. You should check a wiki or something for info on who you can send and when. Yes, the guys in the big round area. You go left before you get to them. There will be a flame sprayer guy and one other guy with maybe a magic lantern in the immediate area.

Finally, FINALLY beat that Watchdog of the Old Lords. I was crushed, because one time earlier I had him about 90% depleted and screwed up. Man it took forever. And all 20 poison knives barely made a dent in him. I'll post my video when it uploads, probably by morning, since it's so long. The reward was pathetic. Enough credits to replace my knives and some potions. Not enough to replace my bone marrow ash.

Unfortunately, the immediately following area continues the cheapness. Demon dogs with about 50% more HP, I'd guess.

She never appeared for me there. Got her in the Cathedral area myself (just once) then had a battle with her.

So, not much from here

Thanks, I still find the game a Labryinth in some ways. I went back to the Clinic for the first time. I never bothered my first playthrough to go back so when you guys said you could send people there I was

Congrats! I hate that beast

Just beat the game tonight (inital playthrough). Had hard time with last guy, but got it done

Popped in DS2 for fun, and yeah, Bloodborne is a much nicer looking game. Don't remember Dark Souls 1 looking that rough, but can tell the framerate is going to be nice

Oh when do I have to start working on keeping these people safe from hunters?
I'm sure some of you already know this stuff but I'll post my experiences with the NPCs in case someone hasn't done any of this yet.

My first play through I sent everyone to the Clinic with the feeling it was a bad thing to do but I said eh why not. On my second play through earlier tonight I went to the back of the clinic(from the Woods)and there were only two blue aliens there to kill. Anyone have more than that or less even? I ask because someone had a theory that there is an alien for every person you send there that the woman does experiments on. I can't remember if there were more on my first play through when I sent everyone there.

Also, the guy who thinks you're a liar(across from the prostitute). My first play through I sent him to the clinic and he shows up at the Chapel saying he didn't trust me. This time I sent him to the chapel and he still hasn't arrived so I take it his dumb ass went to the clinic to do the opposite of what I told him.

When I went to the clinic I ignored the woman's request and went up the stairs. I already knew she was going to attack me but during my first play through I had waited until after I killed the giant spider so I could kill her when she's on the table to get the umbilical cord. When you go up there early and she attacks, when she dies she drops a Rune that gives you more bullets.

Another thing. To those of you who were killed by those big bag men with the hoods and taken to Yahar'Gul Unseen Village for the first time. Down near the jail cells is a woman praying. The first time I played this game she didn't ask for help. This time she said I must be from the church and then asked for help. I sent her to the Chapel and she gives you blood just like the prostitute. I was wearing Executioner Garb, Yahar'gul Black Gloves, Hunter Trousers and my Gray Wolf Cap. The difference this second play through I believe is that she asked for help because I had the Executioner Garb on. That's just a guess though.

Edit: After killing the King of Cainhurst I headed back to the Chapel. The creeper on the ground is saying "There ain't no more survivors, there can't be...Yharnam's done for." Then he starts doing this wheezy kind of laugh. I'm starting to think I should kill him if he finds it funny that Yharnam is basically screwed. I don't trust him anymore.

I gave that one good Hunter you see a couple of times in the game (second time right before you get to the Woods)that Message/Letter next to the Queen in Cainhurst. My buddy told me to check back on her.
[Show spoiler]The Hunter totally slaughtered her and I picked up her remains. I already know you use the remains on the alter in the room where you fight Abrietas(I think she's the right boss) to resurrect the Queen. I ended up fighting and killing the Hunter and he gave me the Rune/Oath Memory, "Radiance". It increases how much health you get back from your blood vials.
Just never did any of this when I first played the game and am laying it out there in case some of you wonder what are the consequences for doing different things throughout the game.

Thanks. Fantastic game.

My general thoughts:

really hard at times, not-too-hard others
Framerate only technical issue
Story could be made a little more clear but I love what they gave us
Most enemies were great but a couple were goofy (librarian/student dudes)

Congrats!
I'm sending anyone to the Chapel. You think that's a bad idea? I just beat Blood-starved Beast in NG+ Waiting on YouTube & I'll post it. Definitely got my ass kicked way more this time.

Nice, found another one of those in the Dungeon. Such an odd Weapon.

Well, considering I killed the person in the Chapel, it's off for medical experiments for the survivors.

I did finally meet Eileen. Even when I was in her area, I almost missed her. Good thing I wasn't swing away with my weapon to break barrels.

So Odeon's Tomb is now not available for me now that some Hunter has parked himself there. Now I',m just gonna have to kill him, huh?

He's very tough. I was impressed. He killed me but I went straight back & took him out with a certain helper.

Edit

I noticed the enemies in the woods are quite tougher in NG+ It took me awhile to reach this boss.

If you want to break stuff without attacking, roll into it instead of using your weapon. This is more important in Dark Souls, even, as hostile NPC's can be more consequential.

If your loosing more then 20 minutes of progress you are doing something wrong.

sometimes I've got a lot more than 20mins of progress on the line. I still haven't found that many shortcuts in the cathedral area it feels like. I can run by a lot of guys but I never really found another lantern until I got to the charnel area which took me forever it felt like. I should go back more but sometimes it feels like I'm so close to getting a lantern I don't want to risk going through the whole map again.

Watchdog of the Old Lords. I get really lucky with him nearly dead at the 11:00 mark. Sometimes when your locked on and the enemy is moving, you end up going a direction you did not intend. Otherwise it was just a slow dance, probably because I'm just not very good. And you can see that poison knives were not probably worth the cost. Level 127. Saw Cleaver +10 with damage buffing, durability nerfing gems. Pistol +8.
