I would not be surprised if they cut out most or all of the references to them being in any sort of superhero universe X-Men or otherwise. They may just make it a straight up horror film with kids with powers???

Why can't Disney take this and make it a entry to their new MCU Phase since they have decided to go Horror direction they could have connected in some ways other than somehow it has direct connection to Fox X-Men. Could have just made it part of Disney's X-Men reboot just different start really sad when some good cast and high hopes for this movie to be released before Deadpool 2.

Because Feige probably has other plans for these characters, and wants his own cast.

Who cares. While I don't agree with it, it's a minor thing for I'm sure what will be a minor character in the entire movie. And it's not like we haven't had other races rewashed in other films before. Besides, Sunspot has been inconsistently portrayed in the comics for years. He hasn't been a black-brazillian in a long time.

If this film was as bad as popularized here, Disney would have cut the money flow long ago and sent this to Hulu.

The fact that even after the Disney/Fox deal they continue to work on this suggests that Disney actually sees potential and may have made this MCU-compatible.

Then again, I could be completely wrong.

There are probably contracts involved for a theatrical window that need to expire. We will see if it gets delayed again.

If we get a new trailer next month, as promised, I'm sure there won't be any delays. Now that it's in Disney's hands, I don't expect they'd put a trailer out only to rescind on it. I guess anything can happen between now and then, though. Hopefully they'll release it on New Year's Day.
