Can we add Square Enix to video game retailers that are exclusive?

And the ability to add a link to buy the product from Square Enix Online?

Thanks,

https:// store.eu.square-enix.com/emea_uk/games/ps4/Final-Fantasy-XV-Deluxe-Edition.php

So we add the URL, then it's linked to buy

Has anyone else had an issue with the recent site change updating the comment section of an owned Blu-ray? Previously, I was adding additional watch dates to the comments when I watched a movie more than the watched and rewatched fields. Now, when you add text to the comments section, it erases what is there. Pretty stupid update.

Please either change it back to the way it was, or just include the option to add as many rewatch dates as I want. If I own a movie for 5 years, I may watch it more than twice. Thanks.

This is also happening to me....I would make notes on when I watched something, and if it was a TV show in particular, I would write in the dates that I watched the episode. There is no longer a way to do that.

Would it be possible to add Philippines as a country option?

These are the distributors I wanna add:
- Magnavision
- C-Interactive Digital Entertainment
- Star Records

Looking at a lot of the "People" duplicates, I've been noticing that many will change their names over time. I was wondering if it would be possible for the system to compare IMDb links (in the "Link to imdb.com profile" field) and decline duplicates, in the same way that it does UPC numbers?

In video games, the studio Bandai Namco is still listed as Namco Bandai.

Example:

Can we add a tag specifically for theatrical images (posters) that are linked to the Main Movie ID?
Examples:

I had to go into DOM Explorer on Edge when on the Casablanca page and look up the web address for the image, and then input the address with img tags. In theory there should be a poster tag that let's me just type "[poster]20688[/poster]" the same way the BD and DVD tags work:

Casablanca DVD is 24767:

Casablanca BD is 6285:

What are the chances of adding an option to the app (or the webpage) that will randomly select a title from your collection to watch? I spend so much time just looking and second guessing what to watch that it might be fun just to let the app pick the movie for me.

I'm having issues getting some of my edits approved, it seems that mods have a different way of going about approving edits. I've been told that the "dominant" title should be based on the USA Title release and then in parentheses the original title.

Take this release for example: Serial Bad Weddings

See attachement below

There's 6 Blu-Ray Releases with 6 different titles.

I opened every entry and edited everyone of them to reflect the standard I was told was the correct way to editing.

I entered "Serial Bad Weddings (Qu'est-ce qu'on a fait au Bon Dieu?)" for the Canadian DVD release and it got accepted.

The all the other edits were rejected with no reasons given. Sometime, a little feedback goes a long way.

I've exchanged e-mail in the past months with iScottie on how to go about editing entries and he's rejected some of the edits I've done, some were understandable, and some were explained to be with a comment in the rejection e-mail or simple a PM.

I have over 30k submissions and I've done this kind of edits on other Foreign titles before.

Can someone please post some sort of guideline so that everyone can align themselves and work together for the evolution of this site?

Thanks.

This is the official guideline, as posted by Deciazulado in the contributors/admins forum:
For foreign movies in the international databases put local title first, + then foreign title (if not the same) and english title and/or alternate tilte in parenthesis.

I think it's pretty clear.
In USA the local english title goes first, then the foreign (original) title.
In Germany, the german title goes first, then the foreign title, then the english title.
In Italy, the italian title goes first, then the foreign title, then the english title.
And so on and so forth.

For English movies put English title, then local title and/or foreign title and/or alternate title in parenthesis

And for english titles as u can see, english title goes first (always) and then the local and/or foreign title.

So the way the titles are displayed for that title in particular that you've mentioned is correct, a couple of entries just misses the english title. Therefore IMO that's why the mods have rejected your submissions.

I'll be honest, the foreign movie/local title thing doesn't make sense to me.

Although it is clear, it doesn't make sense, here's why.

If a US release gets to keep his original title worldwide, then why do foreign releases have to change titles depending on Local releases? Then why do US titles don't change according to local titles?

It kinda goes against a logical trend in my opinion and it looks sloppy in the Theatrical/Movie entry page, like the exemple shown in my previous post.

Shouldn't we use that foreign title primarily and then add local titles in parenthesis to actually mimic the US release way of formatting entries?

It only seems logic to use one anchor title primairly.

If rules never get challenged, then we would never innovate.

As far as I can work out it should be pretty straightforward.

For example:

Crime d'amour [France, 2010]

Crime d'amour is the original French theatrical title. So that's what's should appear in a Movie search. Love Crime is the English language title so Love Crime would appear as a subtitle in parenthesis.

The English UK title would be Love Crime (Crime d'amour).
The Brazillian Blu-ray release (if there was one) would be Crime de Amor (Crime d'amour ) (Love Crime)

Qu'est-ce qu'on a fait au Bon Dieu? should have Serial (Bad) Weddings in parenthesis. It's a French movie and that should be the main title.

So an English BD release would be Serial (Bad) Weddings (Qu'est-ce qu'on a fait au Bon Dieu?).
But an Italian BD would be Non sposate le mie figlie! Qu'est-ce qu'on a fait au Bon Dieu? (Serial (Bad) Weddings).

Just remember:

Original title for theatrical entry followed by Worldwide or English title
Local title for Blu-ray release followed by Original title followed by English title (if the local title isn't English).

That way if there's a foreign release of a foreign film, the added English title will help members' locate a release.

On the contribution page, if you click on the tooltip icon next to the title field it states the following:

Quote:
For English BDs always use the English title first, you can then optionally add the original name after within parentheses (). For foreign BDs use the foreign title first, then the English title within parantheses (), this will display the original/local country name as a subheading and make it searchable. Edition information should also be within parantheses (). You can edit other movies to see examples of how the titles have been set.

Currently we cannot submit the same title in 2 different formats at the same time.

Example: I submitted Hell on Wheels: The Complete Fifth Season on Blu-ray, but the system would not have accepted Hell on Wheels: The Complete Fifth Season on DVD while that was pending.

The current solutions seem to be:

- Submit one, keep checking back, and then submit the other after the first has been approved (which is a bit more time and work than just submitting both at the same), unless the approval person sees the initial one and then creates the other themselves. Which is faster, and has happened, but is probably more work than when the same submitter has all the info to both on-hand during the initial submission process.

- We can submit both at the same time, but with a slight variation in titles. Today I tried removing the final "n" from 'Season' for the dvd (as: Hell on Wheels: The Complete Fifth Seaso), with the note that I would edit to add the "n" on if/when the submission was approved.

It seems to me that this could be avoided if the system could recognize the difference between a Blu-ray submission and a DVD submission and allow one submission from each category to be pending simultaneously.

Thanks for any consideration that can be given to this.

I noticed that many Spanish titles that say distributed by Savor ediciones on the blu-ray are later being labelled as Emon (the parent company) by another user.
http://www.savor.es/

Please either eliminate the confusion by deleting one of these studio choices or reject the relabelling of the studio.

Default Site Database Needs To Be More Robust/Varied

I love the Blu-ray Collection feature here - love looking at my own collection from time to time and, yes, I enjoy looking at other people's collections too. Sometimes I find stuff I didn't know existed. But there needs to be a requirement that if there are different covers for a single release, they should all be added. Several Euro labels are producing alternate art covers for many of their titles and in many cases only one, maybe 2 of the covers are entered into the db. It's the same deal with the premium steelbook market. One cover is entered and then it's edited a month or two later into something else entirely. Adding options is just a fun way to make the db entries more complete and satisfying.

Since BD packaging is getting increasingly more advanced, we have split up "Blu-ray discs " and "Media", so the discs/media can be entered exactly. For example: you can now set Blu-ray discs: 3 with subinformation: 1 BD-25, 1 BD-50 and 1 BD-100 for a release.
