Man you guys weren't kidding with the Slipcover bubbling. My copy arrived in minty fresh shape upon release date and I didn't notice a thing wrong with it. It's sat on my "New Arrivals" shelf, faced outward since arrival only being touched the once to watch it when I mentioned it a few weeks back. After all the discussion I decided to go take a look at it now and the glow aspect is literally lifting itself off the cover like a sheet of cellophane. It's the weirdest thing I've seen in a long time. I may try spraying some modge podge sealant on the cover to see if I can prevent it from fully separating but it's crazy to see what's happening.

Worse comes to worse, I'll pull the remainder of the material off the slip and try to clean up the aftermath as best I can. I have no intention of getting rid of the slip. Who knows - the results may end up looking appropriate to the film
I saw it two or three times back in the mid-1970's at various drive-in theaters. It was often presented as a "third feature" with various newer double-bills. My girlfriend whom I was with from 1996-1998 saw it with me once, and enjoyed it. I don't think every girl I dated back then would have liked it, however.
Seems to me that Something Weird Video released a VHS copy of it back in the early-mid 1990's, but their print was on the fuzzy side. Probably, it was mastered from a used theatrical print.
I look forward to revisiting the film in the superior quality of the new Dark Force transfer from the negative. I also look forward to purchasing THE YOUNG CYCLE GIRLS later this month.

Same here. Looking forward to these. Just watched Magdalena last night as well. Kudos to Dark Force!
The only place to get The Devil's Female (Magdalena) Blu-ray would be eBay, correct? I'm assuming Dark Force will not be selling any more.
Also, I was thinking about purchasing The Last Victim (aka Forced Entry), but a couple of reviews on amazon suggest that both cuts presented on the Blu-ray (72 minutes and 75 minutes) are missing content and that a 90 or 92 minute cut existed previously on VHS.

This has to be the most confusing bluray release of all time. It contains a 75 minute version and a 72 minute version, and both versions are censored of nudity and rape, which is really the draw of this "rape revenge" genre. The first version of "Last Victim" can be shown on Lifetime TV uncut as there is nothing explicit shown at all. The other version restores a lot of the controversial scenes but it is still missing scenes that were shown in the 92 minute VHS version...like the "rape with the wine bottle" scene, and of course, Nancy Allen's infamous nude and tied up scene. The confusing thing is the R rated 90 minute version, with all the nasty scenes ISN'T ON THE BLURAY. What on Earth were they thinking? The infamous 92 minute version can be found on the ancient VHS tape, which I'm sure is a collectors item, especially after this incomplete bluray. Fans who bought this thing must be disappointed. Still, "Forced Entry/Last Victim" is an excellent movie of it's genre, even in this 72 minute version, which is supposedly the original cut of the film that played in theaters the first time around. Apparently the longer version was created later, when Tanya Roberts became a big star. It should have been included on this bluray. Another good thing about this movie is its awesome soundtrack..it's suitably sleazy, and funky in that 70's style, and it adds a lot of atmosphere to this already creepy film. an intense and disturbing profile of a sociopath.

Forced Entry is pretty much the version I saw decades ago, overseas. Last Victim looks like the same movie edited for airplanes, though, oddly enough, longer. The film(s) were an attempt to make a more marketable version of a hardcore sex film, also titled Forced Entry, made 5 years earlier. That one starred Harry Reems as a VN vet with PTSD who went on a rape/murder spree. It was a creepy and dark film, especially for its time (and is available on DVD from After Hours). Forced Entry, but not Last Victim, managed to capture some of what make the original so disturbing. I have not seen the VHS version of the "remake" (not really close enough to be called that, actually).
Nancy Allen is credited but appears only briefly, and clothed, in these versions.
