Hello Joe. Is it hot enough for ya?

I can't quite halt the upgrade fever.

Considering getting a retail X-Rite i1display Pro (Display 3) colorimeter for the LCDs in my home but first and formost ofcause for my projector.

So i've been researching the retail vs some special software license calibrated ones (<-OEM) for use with a program called Chromapure. Same actual unit but with the OEM version they typically offer a thirdparty software program for use with it. So its basically a tweaked version too help with extra accuracy. But here's the catch..It double the price of the retail and you will not be able too use the X-Rite software own only thirdparty ones (for now). I say to hell with it and let me save some money here. I can always get i calibrated if i need it but all that OEM stuff happens i the US so i need too pay extra taxes and all that as usually.

I also save the video processor for now. I found it a little excessive costing more than my projector and then i also need too get the meter. $$$.

i'll wait till i get a new projector with it's own integrated color management system. I'll live with the saturated colors..Still much better than doing it all by eye.

It's 217$ for the retail version which also includes the X-Rite software. I find that rather fair for such a high quality tool.

I watched Danny Boyle's first hour, then I turned on my pj and watched David Gilmour on BD. I just came back and turned on the tv, and it went from Pink Floyd - Eclipse, to Paul McCartney - Hey Jude.

Well the first part of it is rather good. It just gets a bit too silly after a while.

Would also get better if he didn't star in it himself too imo. He has a brilliant mind for comedy but his acting is a bit off.

I remember liking Men in tights. Haven't seen his other works.

Im sure his films gets better the more you watch them.

That's more than can be said about many of the newer films from other directors.
