Has anyone not had their digital copies upgrade to 4k on the Apple tv 4k? ive had my versions of 1-3 since 2012 in my itunes library and they are marked as HD yet they havent upgraded nor do they indicate they are even available in 4K, like all other 4k titles seem to suggest, regardless of whether you own the 4k version or not. Finding it frustrating that my version hasnt upgraded. My codes came from the trilogy Bluray boxset with the full slip cover. Not understanding why they arent upgrading.

Whats even stranger is that my Jurassic world hasnt even upgraded and that was redeemed in Itunes only last month in HD. What gives? Not had issues with any other titles upgrading.

I look in iTunes, and it shows World at 4k for me, and I only have it in there because of Movies Anywhere linked to it. Originally redeemed in Vudu for 4k.

The codes from the original Blu-ray box set are technically SD so they will not upgrade. Movies Anywhere upgraded them to HD but iTunes still sees them as SD redeems. World is ONLY 4K on FandangoNow at this time.

I have no clue what you are looking at but World is only 4K on FandangoNow.

Oddly its the other away around for me. MA sees them as SD(in redeem history), its everywhere else that sees them as HD. Dont get why they would be SD given they werent XML.

Also doesnt explain why i cant see them as being available in 4k, at the very least. Every other 4k film tells me its available in 4k, even if i dont own the rights to play it back.

In my case, movies I own in HD only show HD i.e. Looper is 4K on iTunes but it will not show me its available in 4K on the TV app. In the iTunes store it shows 4K.

The whole iTunes 4K upgrade thing is weird. Maybe it takes time? Here's my situation, when I saw some posts here saying that the movies were now in 4K on iTunes.

Two days ago I saw people posting that iTunes now has 4K...I checked mine and they hadn't been upgraded. Last night I checked again...and Jurassic 1 & 3 had been upgraded to 4K HDR.

Even stranger...my codes were originally redeemed in SD, not HD. So technically my digital copies should not have been upgraded.

While not JP related...I'm still waiting for my Incredible Hulk to be upgraded. That one was originally redeemed in HD in 2008 but no upgrades for me yet.

There seems to be almost no rhyme or reason to this...

What’s weird is my HD redeemed code when viewed from the TV app shows that my Jurassic Park is still in standard HD. But when viewing it from the iTunes store the 4K and HDR logo is present. Regardless, streaming from the TV app will give you the updated 4K master (albeit in 1080p in the phone).

And when streaming it on my PC via iTunes it streams the outdated 2011 version.

It’s kind of weird when you think about it. For those who live by Digital Copies only and who already redeemed the Hd codes long time go, they’re getting a free 4K upgrade. They can otherwise only profit from those who never purchased Digital HD before or those who willing to purchase the 4K UHD disc.

I redeemed a Jurassic Park 3D code a few years ago and it just recently got upgraded to 4K in the TV app on my Apple TV and iPhone.

The 3D master itself has colour timing designed to not look so shit-brown when viewed in 3D, but it does indeed look nasty when the left eye is viewed on its own. A separate 2D grade should not have the same colour. Similar perhaps, but not the same. Same thing applies to the conversion artefacts that are visible in the 3D master, the 2D should bypass those.

Laura Dern represented that transitioning phase for you. You found qualities in her (softness, innocence, strength and maternal instincts) that you have received from your mother.
And then wanting her to be your girlfriend is a innocent extension of that desire - to have more people in your life that have those qualities, especially someone who to you was an equivalent of a fairy princess, perhaps.
Most "normal" people feel like that. We only start to see the difference (or lack of) when we grow up.

Also, no one will EVER replace your mother! There is no one like her and never will be.
I love Laura Dern A LOT too! But I don't have memories of wanting her to be my mother. Girlfriend, to some extent, perhaps. I was too obsessed with dinosaurs.
However, I did idolise Sam Neill for all my growing up years. When young, I wanted him to be my father. When I was an adolescent, I wanted to be like him and was dressing like him, parting my hair like him and even changed my personality to be like that of Sam Neill. I was talking like he did, moving my eyes like him. Alan Grant helped me grow up. I'm past that phase now. Now I'm happy discovering more about myself.

This is me by the way, 11 years ago, dressed in an outfit resembling the one worn by Sam Neill in JP3. This is inside a wildlife preserve which used to be a game hunting property for Nawabs. -

Close, eh?

Thanks for reminding me I need to call my mom.

Im in the same boat as a few of you, I purchased the 4 movies in HD directly from iTunes. ATM the only movie in 4k here in ireland is Jurassic Park on my apple tv 4k it shows that I only have the movie in HD and its the crappy 2011 master, if I visit the store on my ipad or pc when i go to jp page its listed as 4k but does not show me the play icon only the price to buy it again WTF?

Apple's 4K content can only stream on a new Apple TV 4K from last year (2017) and on iPhone X's. No iPads get it as of yet, and no Macs can play 4K UHD content from the iTunes store yet either. I think the reason is the screen displays/internals on Apple's older hardware isn't able to handle playing 4K stuff.

Hope this helps!

Yeah I understand all that, what I mean is its listed as 4k and giving me the option to buy in store but I already own the movie so why am I being asked to buy it again for 4k? As I said in last post I bought it direct in iTunes store in HD. This is a few times I have been f*ucked over by apple with 4k movies, I had a few sony movies go from hd to 4k back to hd again all direct hd purchases.

I'm no expert, but of all the Universal 4K upgrades I've done thus far (which is, admittedly, only The Purge trilogy and Lone Survivor), they've reused the subtitle track from the previous Blu-ray releases. I would guess they'll reuse the Blu-ray tracks, which were English SDH, Spanish, and French.

I really hope they don't reuse the English subtitles on the Blu-rays because, for JP 1 and 2, they were all heavily summarized and reworded subtitles that scarcely matched what was said on screen. They were unusually terrible, where most Universal English subtitles are very good about being verbatim. I can only hope that they do a new English SDH track, but I get the feeling they're gonna reuse the old one...
