Yes, and to clarify (because the previous page has a LOT of people confused on this issue), the blu-ray disc (disc 1 of the set) is region free on the UK set. But the extra discs, which are DVDs (they're NOT blu-ray discs) are region locked in the same way traditional DVD movies are region locked.

So, disc 1 of the UK set, which is a blu-ray, will be playable in the US. But discs 2 and 3, which are DVDs, will not be (unless you have a region free DVD player).

The 2nd disc is a blu-ray as well. It's just the 3rd disc to worry about.

Starbuy is talking out of his/her ass.

There's always one noob with a whiff of 'Company Employee', in these big release threads that stick out.

Sky-Fart is incorrect. I'm not a 'company whatever'. But, I have relayed exactly what the WB has insisted concerning this limited set. Yes, the DVD is region locked and if you don't have a player that can play any region and you want to see the DVD and its features you'll need to purchase the set for the region you live in. I think a lot of those on this forum (it's a blu-ray forum) that aren't interested in owning the limited set from the U.S. would be happy with any blu-ray of Inception. But, there are those of us who want the limited edition full set and the U.S. one is the only one that was offered that has everything, meaning it is rarer and therefore of greater value as we certainly see evident on ebay. If you don't care about having the complete set and you missed out on the U.S. limited edition set then why would you care if others like myself want this set. It seems envious doesn't it?

I've never received a movie early either, can't wait for this though, will definitely be one of the movies I take with me next month to Dallas. Can't wait to see the stunning action sequences and effects in this movie on my own TV.

I love personal attacks. I eat them for breakfast.
Your obviousness in trying to convince people not to import is obvious in its obviousness.

Envious? Erm, of what? A comic book?
I don't give a crap what people buy, I just tire of dis-information around here.
You've gone awfully silent about the BD(s) being region locked.

Here's the version I'm buying:

That slightly smaller hmv set is what I would also buy if I wasn't able to get the U.S. limited edition which I was fortunate enough to order before they sold out. The Canadian version is the same region as the U.S. And, if you want the official word from Warner Brothers whether the set is region locked or not just call them like I did. Like I've already stated before (Sky... didn't read everything), I doubt what the WB told me about the whole set being region locked, but that is what THEY are saying. I think they just don't want people to be upset if they order the Europe version expecting all the discs to be region free so they tell people that the specific set they are ordering is region locked. I personally believe the Blu will play fine, but all I was stating was WB's official statement, not what other sites are stating.

I've only had one movie early, and that was The Dark Knight. I had a friend who worked at Target hook me up to get it one week early.

Default Not a five star visual score?

Having just read the official Blu-Ray review I am a tad curious why this incredible film is not perfect. The Dark Knight got a perfect five and I suspected that Inception would get equally royal treatment. Inception, unlike Batman is not a wholly dark film, more shots in teh light than in low light or darkness and as such it trully had a chance to be an all star release.
Not that I'm dissapointed, I simply expect a little more I suppose. Oh well, I don't suppose a videophile like me with limited and no technical knowhow will tell the difference.

TDK really should not of received a 5/5 PQ score. If they revisited it and did a re review, it would score less

May I ask why some people care what kind of value a certain version holds. Do you plan to sell it someday? If not then why does higher value of being more rare play into this?

Movies can only look so good. Just because a movie is considered by a lot of people to be incredible doesn't mean it will automatically be 5/5 in PQ. There are more factors involved than just the quality of the movie. 4.5/5 is still excellent though.
