Let's hope an early test screening doesn't spoil the entire movie months in advance again like it did for Scream 4.

Scream 4 had everything going against it: early test screening being spoiled months in advance and IMDB boards being flooded with spoilers, trailers and TV spots spoiling all the deaths, and the entire movie leaking online in decent cam quality the Saturday of its opening weekend.

Well that’s all going to happen again dude you just have to avoid anything scream related once test screenings take place that’s the way it is sadly especially YouTube comments and Twitter they are the worst for spoilers

While anything is better than 5cream, some might think its a reboot. I'm happy they didn't decide to go with a Title Tag like "Scream: The Return"
Ultimately it'll inevitably get the title Scream 2022 or even Scream 5

Yup just like with the new Candyman. It's a sequel, dammit! But because it shares the same title as the original, people think it's a reboot/remake.

Good anything to draw in more people is always welcome imo and true fans will know anyway this film needs to be a box office hit after 4 underperformed if this one doesn't do well it wont be a good look for the franchise going forward

It's the latest horror sequel trend...do a "legacy sequel" that's, for all intents and purposes, a thinly-veiled remake of the original movie, and give it the exact same title as the original movie. Even that Thing prequel from 2011 was just titled...The Thing. But, oh wait, the 1982 film was John Carpenter's The Thing!

I’m fine with it as long as we get the traditional floating heads poster. Haha

Also- was kind of hoping they would have kept SCREAM in black or white- but made the V shape in the M red so you could have the best of both worlds.

They just announced this movie and they’re already done filming...and we have to wait a year...better have some remasters coming down the pike.

These titles work alright when newly released, but after awhile they do start to mix together. I noticed Universal added a subtitle to Halloween '18 for recent DVD reissues. I mean, they have to, there's three films titled Halloween now and the average customer probably can't tell them apart.
