Apologies if there was a better place to ask this, but I think it’s related enough. Is there a place besides eBay that sells only discs, no cases, codes, etc.? Like if I have a Blu-ray steelbook and there’s a new 4K upgrade, is there somewhere I can buy just that new 4K disc rather than a whole package I don’t need?

can someone pls let me know if this is good deal?
I just ended up buying MI & MI Ghost protocol Steelbooks for CAD $15 each for brand new/sealed.
This is the first time I am putting my money on steelbooks.
Is it a good deal or still i can get them cheaper?

If you are happy with the purchase, that’s what matters when it comes to steelbooks that are no longer available from retailer stores.

I used to click on the blu-ray tab at the top. Select new preorders, and I used to be able to filter on which packaging I wanted. Is this still available? I don't understand why they would remove that feature,

Hey all,

Just curious if there is anyplace online that happens to sell the steelbook casing ONLY with no discs inside for a reduced price then if it were new and complete? My reason for inquiring is mainly because I have a couple films on 4K and Blu-ray that I purchased the regular edition of initially and looking back I wish I would've got the steel casing for some of them... mainly looking for Mary Poppins Returns and Ralph Breaks the Internet at the moment.

Just curious if such a thing exists outside of the anomaly popping up on eBay or whatever...

Both can still be bought brand new off Best Buy's website. You're better off buying them and selling your other copies.

Best Buy Canada never has anything in stock... (very rarely do they) half the time I have to get my friend in the US to receive them in and send them to me because Best Buy USA apparently hates international business and doesn’t allow for shipping (or even billing) to Canadian addresses and junk... and when I do get my order in, I’ve had them cancel on me as they’ve been unable to fulfill their supply orders... they’re really a bunch of clowns over there!

The whole Best Buy situation really irks me... but it is probably just from a Canadian supply viewpoint as I always see a vast selection of availability for steelbooks on the US website... they rarely ever seem to sell out. Canada’s inventory/availability is an absolute abomination!

So what you said is not really true about BB US. I use my Canadian credit card many times in BB US both in store and online and I also have a rewards membership.

The only thing is they don't deliver to Canada. However, BB Canada doesn't ship to the US either.

I’ve tried on multiple occasions to use my credit card info on the US website and it almost always (if the order doesn’t automatically decline due to the address not matching the info on the card used) will place and a short time later, I’ll get an email from Best Buy saying that they’ve cancelled the transaction as they could not verify the information, etc.

It’s actually been quite stressful as I’ve called them more than a few things to discuss what the heck is going on and nobody seems to know how to make it work. I’ve been told multiple different answers and some had no answers at all...

Have you tried Google pay or Visa check-out ?

Never tried Google Pay. Pretty sure VISA check-out is what I was doing, not?? Unless that’s something other than entering credit card information... then maybe I haven’t tried either...

It has been weeks since the Blu Ray was announced. As an OCD collector I really would prefer to have the second season of Star Trek Discovery on blu Ray steelbook to match season one. I feel blu ray exclusives are very common for Star Trek (the 09 reboot helped usher in the steelbook trend in the US) and are typically announced with the blu ray release. Thoughts?
