Both posters seem to be for the same movie that is the one being released. The original description is a bit off though. But as I haven't seen the movie, maybe the bands mentioned are in the movie. Deborah Harry is in Blonde though, so I probably wouldn't list them separately like the first description.

The posters are for the same movie. It's the original description that's incorrect. Both have the same title. There is an 1976 film by Amos Poe that has silent footage of various punk bands including Richard Hell, Talking Heads, Blondie...etc. The film Dark Force has is from 1980 and is a narrative film that just features Richard Hell and the Voidoids and no one else. I like the film despite Richard thinking it's crap. Also before Ulli Lommel displayed his true ability as a terrible director.

1980 art film. The very last thing I'd expect from Dark Force lol. Someone wake me when the next lost exploitation flick is announced

Let Primal Rage live forever in OOP world and serve as a valuable lesson to all the ungrateful kids who only wait to buy bru lay at cheap sale price and then get all whiney when the only option is getting turkey stuffing by fleabayers with jacked up prices.

Buy early or miss out ya punks.

Buying early guarantees price drops and reprints.

[Show spoiler]...at least in my experience.

I may be wrong, but I believe Primal Rage may have been the fastest Code Red/Dark Forces title to sell out and go OOP. If I remember correctly it was really only available for a period of about 3 months or so.

Precisely why we must preserve the sanctity of Primal Rage.

I missed out on Primal Rage due to there being so much I have had to order. I thought I would have more time to pick up a copy and it bit me. While reprints are always nice I don’t feel the need to beg for one. I can always pick it up on the secondary market eventually. One day I will learn to subsist on nothing but air so I can buy every release right away.

They should've made more Primal Rage. When Hardrock Nightmare comes out I suggest everybody get it ASAP. I can see that one also selling out fast.

I will never understand the incredible business decisions CR/Dark Force make. We won't make enough of something lots of our customers want to pay good money for? I'll also never understand why Kino got themselves involved in this, but that's another thing...

I know someone who assisted Uli on one of his last films. Uli pretty much left at the end and most people didn't get paid. Having said that, I did think Tenderness of the Wolves was better than most of his other films, including the Boogeyman.

Pretty sure it is. That one actually got distributed by MVD briefly. Primal Rage sold out before ever getting wide release.

Tenderness is a very good film and justifiably so. But, as you know, that was made by Fassbender's seasoned crew so the production was on autopilot. I do like Uli's stuff with his ex-wife Suzanne Love, but none looked as polished as Tenderness so he kinda road on the coattails of that film until it caught up. In spite of him, Blank Generation still captures some of the punk art lower east side scene and getting Andy Warhol with Carole Bouquet was interesting. Richard Hell described him as a hack, who looked down on art and just tried to replicate it, not understanding that famous artists actually had talent and something to say.

Stingray was fun. It was more like a hard R-rated episode of The Dukes of Hazard, which I sort of was expecting. Looked great, too.

I agree that it was fun. Felt like they're driving around in circles for a bit, but then they tried to check off all sorts of boxes in the formula.

Maybe I’m wrong here, but I kinda feel like I got ripped off from Dark Force.

Check it out…

I pre-ordered Stingray for the discount price of $29.99 (which would jump to $34.99 after the pre-order.)

A couple weeks later Dave got in some more copies of the Maria’s Kung Fu 5 pack for $19.99. Having missed out on that last time, I wanted to make sure I grabbed it on this occasion.

Both times I paid $5 for shipping.

When I got my shipment for both items, it came in one package instead of two. Dave saved himself $5

Since I paid for shipping twice I messaged Dave through the site. No response. A week later, I emailed Dave. A week later, still no response.

I could just pretend in a way that they came in two packages. What’s the difference, right?

And I realize it’s only $5, but it just kinda rubs me the wrong way, especially since I asked for the refund.

One time Dave accidentally sent me the wrong item, and out of the kindness of my heart and the respect for the community, I went out of my way and sent Dave back the item, even though he said I could just keep it if I wanted to.

I’ve been buying from Dark Force since day one but this kinda makes me consider never ordering direct from Dark Force again.

Idk maybe I’m overreacting or looking into it too much…
