All 4 films looked interesting with plenty of potential for entertainment from the few bits I checked, but I can't say whether or not they are "good" just yet. From what I can tell these are once again relics of a long gone era and should make for an interesting/fun viewing experience but I'll have to report back once I've actually watched both discs before giving either a stamp of approval.

The subject matter is appealing enough to me, is the PQ decent? With movies under the 'Drive-In' line, I'm not expecting the best elements. As long as the PQ is clean and clear, better than DVD, then I would be in for a purchase. Not wanting to suffer through muddled PQ.

And I know it can be tough to keep up. I ran an indie record label by myself at one point.

And tbh it’s not even the amount that matters. It’s the point of the matter. This also isn’t the first time you did something questionable with an order of mine. I let the first time slide.

I wish you all the best man. I obviously dig what you are doing. We all make mistakes. Myself included. I know sometimes it can be hard to see the trees through the forest.
Check your PayPal just refunded you the shipping on both of those orders. I want to personally and publicly apologize you have been a great customer and supporter of Dark Force. Last few weeks got inundated with several issues and the new release hitting and to be honest your message got accidentally overlooked. You are a valued and appreciated customer. Hey Savage the PQ on "SEX and the OFFICE GIRL", LONELY WIVES and SECRETS OF SWEET SIXTEEN are all GREAT as they were mastered from original 35 negs and internegs with color correction. All three are pretty entertaining with some edgy subject matter for sex movies especially OFFICE GIRL. So you will likely not be disappointed.

I think with Magdalenagate, he got demoted. Bowie sang about it:

And this $5 refund I can do..

I had to go the ebay route and picked up Primal Rage & Blue Monkey. Each was around $40 - $45 but I would rather take the chance and buy now rather than wait and see if they are re-pressed and end up paying a lot more if they are not.

How is the transfer for Magdalena? Any issues to report with the release?

I'm waiting it out. Maybe Bill can sub-license them to Scream Factory if Dark Force isn't going to repress.

These were my comments last March after my first ever viewing of the film.

(Yes, yes I know it's also technically an Exorcist Rip off, but this comparison gives you a better idea as to the quality of the film). The film overall looks and sounds quite nice, however all of the sleazier uncut elements have damage that best resembles a really well worn VHS tape. Whenever something crazy/good is about to happen (pretty much involving full frontal nudity) the Print goes nuts for a second as if the tracking on a VHS is all out of wack. I honestly haven't ever seen anything like it on Blu Ray but even with the extensive damage to those bits I really wasn't all that bothered by it. Truth be told I found those problems almost mildly entertaining/endearing as it gave the impression that someone had been rewinding and rewatching these bits over and over again. More annoying for me was that throughout much of the other scenes there is a faint line that runs vertically though the picture on the right side of the screen. Despite being more faint and less obtrusive, it was more of a distraction to me for some reason.

In terms of quality presentation this one isn't Dark Forces best effort as I still consider The Dead Pit to overall be the best thing released on a number of different levels, however this is very watchable and fits perfectly with the label. It will undoubtedly be a film I revisit in the future and is ripe for rediscovery. I'd rate it amongst my top 3 DF releases and despite the print damage throughout the film still give it a pretty big thumbs up and recommendation for folks curious. This film just oozes grindhouse/exploitation theater and I have no doubt many users here will appreciate it a great deal.

Thanks again Dave, this isn't exactly the kind of film I get excited over (70's grindhouse fare is very hit or miss for me) but it was very much a fun experience and a film I'm glad to have learned about and gotten the opportunity to experience. It's going to make for a fun revisit one day if/when I ever decide to do a proper Exorcist/Exorcist Rip off Marathon.

The lines before the naughty bits that you mention might be a scratch on a frame or two or a splice. The bits aren't from a tape source, but someone may have marked that print so that those shots might be removed for an R rating. Like you, they didn't really bother me, and it's better than what had been previously going around.

Sorry for the delay, I hadn't actually watched either release just yet and so I couldn't comment beyond what I had witnessed during my skimming of the discs when they were added to my home media server. I still haven't gotten around to watching Secrets of Sweet 16 & Wacky Taxi but tonight I did watch Lonely Wives and Sex and the Office Girl (In Drive-in Mode) and feel pretty confident when I say that these are definite upgrades over any potential DVD releases that may have came before. Both are clearly HD scans and overall are better quality than I was expecting. That said both are also very typical Dark Forces exploitation releases in that there is squiggles, dirt, debris, and some mild damage here and there across various points of both films. Nothing terrible by any means really and I'd argue that for these Drive-In features the damage does lend a bit of analog authenticity to the overall viewing experience but again your tolerance for such things will undoubtedly impact your overall enjoyment. Given the nature of these films I'd be a bit surprised to see them ever released again and more than that, I don't know that anyone except for Dark Forces would have ever even considered them and for that the release get's a very solid A in my book.

Surprisingly the sound on both films was much better than anticipated and honestly a lot of credit goes to Dave and Dark Forces for continuing to put lossless audio on these releases. It seems like a no brainer to do so, but when Mr. Band over at Full Moon still continues to insist on using lossy dolby digital soundtracks for all his releases it really provides perspective on how much worse things could be. (Weirdly enough Sex and the Office Girl has a 6.1 DTS-HD MA audio track though from what I can tell the audio is actually a simple mono track)

If Grindhouse exploitation is an area of interest you could do much worse than the Sex and the Office Girl/Lonely Wives release. Lonely Wives even at only 74 minutes felt like it drug on a bit in the end due to the very repetitive nature of the film, but overall both were a fun sleezy good time. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't interested in going back and collecting the rest of the drive-in series of releases now as a result of this viewing experience.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts on the DF Drive In disc....pretty much sold me on it.....Sweet Sixteen/Wacky Taxi and Hollywood High/Teenage Mother I would also blind buy.

As usual, the store is down or I would have purchased. Hopefully the bundle is still available when it reopens. If not, then ill just have to wait. Typical outcome for me with DF though....I always seem to wait just a bit too long to buy the bundles.
The Dark Forces and I never seem to align....

BLUE MONKEY will be out on Kino. I own the film and planning on remaking the film. Not rich so need to gain income.

@Demon

I believe the DF subscriptions will be ending in the next few months.
Couple of questions, if you please.

Will you let the subscribers know when their subscriptions end so we don't miss out on any of your releases?

Will you be offering a new subscription package?

The subscription has been great and I would sign up again in a heartbeat.
Thanks, Demon.
