My dad's a great guy, but he's way big on resposibility. I could go ten years without asking for anything, and then ask to borrow $5 for gas to go get a job, and he would still give me a lecture on resposibilty, then loan me the five bucks.

Yes, you can collect unemployment in America if you are laid off from work, but I've never done it before, and don't really know what I would need to do to get it, and I already have a job now, so I wouldn't be eligible for it now anyway. I do have some groceries and even a few bucks in my wallet, so I'm okay, but the next couple of weeks are going to be a little tight.

That's cool that you sold your monitor and don't even have to ship it. I hope you like your new 8K OLED monitor. I'm still using an old CRT monitor that's probably as deep as it is wide, but it has a decent picture quality and gets the job done.
Oh yeah you already have a new job. My bad.

Yes the old folks really love too tell you what too do with ones life if you give them a chance. Hehe.

I was half joking about the OLED Joe. But maybe in a couple of years when the prices go down too normal levels and even then i might just get one for the ht and not the computer.

CRT rocks. And they still are the closest thing we have too plasma technology/picture. It's just that the size you're able too get them in have a limit.

Thanks a lot Wabo.

I'm okay, I just haven't been able to drink as much beer as I'd like, and I've been eating more ramen noodles and hot dogs than I would like.

I'm not doing real bad yet though. As long as I can figure out a way to pay my phone/internet bill in about a week, and buy enough food and gas for a couple of weeks, I'll be fine. I have a few things around the house that I don't really have much use for anymore that I'll try to pawn, so hopefully that will get me through.

I also hope to meet some "future prospects" at my new job.

Actually CRT's still surpass the picture quality of plasma displays. I still have a pair of Panasonic TAU screens in my home and for 480i resolution the pictures can't be beat

Do you still crank up your cassettes and VHS tapes too? Maybe throw in an 8-track of P-Funk if you're feeling Randy.

Whazzzzzzzzzup, Frogger?

Not too long ago I reconnected my cassette deck in my bedroom (I have over a hundred cassettes) and I like reminiscing to some of my old recordings ........ I still wish to purchase a reel to reel deck for a vintage rig I'm putting together ....... But as far as 8 tracks and VHS

So you weren't too far off
