Watched N-wave's Robinson Crusoe ( the wild life ).
Story was ok , dialog was terrible , the 3D was amazing as always with nwave titles.
The storm scene on the ship was unreal, you felt like the sea was going to spill into the room.
watching on 100" dlp projector

The movie was nothing special, just another unnecessary remake. But the 3D was very good (conversion) and especially the third act looked brilliant! Really liked how the picture came alive with many nice layers and lot's of objects coming close to the face. I wouldn't watch this one in 2D, as I found the 3D to be very important building up the atmosphere!

Also the Dolby 7.1 audio was nice with great surround effects.
Hi Tonppa,

Saw this on HBO demand and even there the 3D was quite impressive.

Just ordered IMAX triple feature. Guadeloupe, Into the Deep, Mummies - secrets of the ages.

Was looking for the Mummies disc which is now oop and it's selling for a lot of money. But its part of the triple feature and I got it used for nine dollars and free shipping. That's a bargain.

Arabia also arrived in mail today. Getting more documentaries of late.

Uh is that Guadeloupe or Galapagos? If it's Guadeloupe I'm buying! (I have this Samsung title) https://www.blu-ray.com/movies/Samsu...Blu-ray/16085/

I think Mummies is one of the few documentary conversions..I wouldn't have known

My T2 3D from Koreanmuse on eBay arrived today. As others mentioned, well packaged with tons of bubble wrap. Haven't opened it yet, but the 3D lenticular cover is absolutely remarkable. Honestly, I've never been so astounded by a slipcover!

It's quite a beauty.... The slipcover is a tad too snug but it's great

So my nephew went to UK to visit his girlfriend and I had him pick me up some releases over there...

7F24C9CD-0295-4B25-BCD5-AFD95AA2D676.jpg

I’ve been waiting years to finally see Shark Night in its proper 3d form. The movie is pretty dumb and there are a lot of scenes that look flat and uninteresting, (more than I was expecting for a natively shot feature) but when the good stuff kicks in, it kicks in hard. There are some amazing 3d underwater scenes that make the viewing worth while, but I wish more of it looked like those stellar moments. This movie needed it! This is region b. I was able to get it to play in 2d only on my region a Panny with the top menu trick.
I didn’t even know Mockinjay part 2 had a 3d release outside the states. I haven’t watched it yet, but I popped it in to see how it would look and it is a very nice conversion with Atmos. It also had a very lovely lenticular slip. Region b. I tried to play it in my region A, but no luck there. Even though I’m region free now, I still like to check and see if the region cheating ways work.

I have Shark Night in 3d but my copy is the region A friendly release from Hong Kong, i remember the 3d looked very good for a natively shot 3d movie.

Finally got around to watching Inferno this weekend and it was amazing. The picture was stunning in it's detail and the 3D was very well done. And it was a great film too, first time I'd seen it.

Latest purchase was X-Men: Apocalypse, I saw it for £6.99 in the deals list at the top of the forum. I wasn't a huge fan of the film compared to previous entries but I've heard that the 3D is very good.

This weekend I watched Upside Down and Gravity in 3D

I'd seen Upside Down in 2D before but had held off watching the 3D version on account of the bad reviews for mild 3D. Well yes, it was mild but it wasn't like an autoconversion or anything, there was sufficient depth and separation to really transform the film visually. All the special effects scenes worked so much better in 3D - the visuals in this film demand the third dimension and while I would have liked some pop-out, I still had plenty of eye-candy to keep me happy.

Gravity I did see theatrically in 3D. At home I noticed the pop-outs more, but really for a film of this budget there should have been more of them and they should have been stronger. You'd think objects floating in space would actually float in space more but no, they are mainly kept behind the screen. That's my biggest disappointment with the movie, right from the opening shot. The CGI spacesuits seemed a bit more obvious this time around too, but otherwise the home experience matched the theatrical experience, when the set pieces kick in it's just mind-blowing. All the first-person shots impressed as well, my fear of heights kicked in a few times with that unmistakeable tingle all the way down to my toes. Now that's entertainment!

Got these 2 babies today from amazon.de. Both play in their native russian without any subtitles and come with 2 discs each. One for 2D and one for 3D.
Spacewalker's 3D is breath taking and Attraction comes with Russian Atmos soundtrack. No english subtitles at all.

The Jungle Book 3D. Still absolutely stunning and some of the best visual fx I've ever seen. The 3D is still great (not the strongest though) and really immersive.

Since you are in the region free club, just making sure you knew about this too:

Part 1 is no where near as good as part 2' 3D, but its real 3D (not autoconversion) and it does well on the OLED because of the darkness of many shots.
