I ended up tracking down a copy of Victor Crowley on blu-ray for $5 thanks to a post in this thread. I also got Unbroken, American Assassin with slipcover, Backtrace with slipcover, and We Die Young with slipcover (which is funny because originally I could not find it). I saw Killing Gunther and a few more movies I was interested in but I already had $20 worth so I passed for now. I also saw an Overlord blu-ray for $14.96 with a sticker that gave a bonus offer of a free digital copy of Terminator: Genisys with purchase which was kinda random. Almost bought it.

Found Ken Burns' Civil War (DVD) for $3.74. Another great find in the one bin at Walmart that I used to avoid.

Anyway, I wish I had one of these magical Walmarts some people do - where amazing stuff like this and the Dolemite Collection show up in the $3.74 DVD bin, but it's either regional or very YMMV.

Can you describe the one Walmart you avoid? Maybe only certain types of stores get the good stuff in their bins?

I'm either going tomorrow or Wednesday morning to see if mine finally changed anything out. The department had been empty for a week prior to the time I was there last week. 3 weeks into June, maybe the workers will have made some progress this time around.

Hopefully so. Just looks awful when you go into WM and all you see are empty displays. Besides the stuff they have in the glass cases they recently added. Cause I guess some people just gotta steal stuff and pawn for money to buy drugs. There is a FYE not far from the Wm and sometimes see new movies just out already "used"

I checked Brickseek for one of the new South Park Blu-ray releases that came out last week and my location is one of two that still does not have it. The other 7 or 8 locations are stocked with the new June releases...but not here, shocking. Looks like they still are unable to get the new items out.

eBay is loaded with stock from Walmart too. People must walk in there with backpacks and load up or something because it's out of control.

Yep. I guess some WM's figure movies aren't a big seller. So they don't care.

I guess so. Yet if I buy 1 or 2 things. I'm asked to show my receipt before leaving. Yet a person pushing two huge carts passes by like they are unseen. But I don't know how people honestly steal stuff in bulk without getting caught and the alarms being triggered.

What I don't get about the whole scanning receipts thing at Wal-Mart is, they scan the receipt, but don't check your bags. What good does that do? Makes no sense. But, that's pretty much their motto anyway.

I never seen them scan the receipt. Just look over it and look in the bag. I some are different than others.

I think they scan the receipt so you don't go back in the store, pick up the same items from the shelves, don't pay, and try to use the same receipt again. Some people will try to go through the opposite exit. Once it's scanned, it shows that you have already gone out the store with the paid items and you can't use the receipt again. They used to just initial the receipt but now better technology has taken it's place. My receipts are on the phone since I use Walmart pay so they can't initial a phone screen.

I used to not pay attention to the DVD bins as I was snobby about my collecting. I am not like that anymore as I will watch a film I like on the format it is available on and most of those Dolemite discs are for things that are not on blu-ray. I watch the DVD bins now as much as I do the blu-ray ones.

Oh, maybe that's why. I don't buy big items like that. Just usually movies or small food items I can put in a bag.

I completely recommend Gone Are The Days. It's a straightforward Western with a first-rate Lance Henriksen performance and a trippy cameo by Danny Trejo. This might be the best bin addition in years.

You're correct that eBay is loaded with hot Walmart merchandise. Most of it comes from inside jobs done by employees themselves.

Last week I found and bought Argo Declassified Extended Edition Boxset, The Town Ultimate Collectors Edition and One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest Collector's Edition for $14 each.

It's really weird that Walmart is restocking these older Warner Bros. sets and previous exclusives, as I saw the Ready Player One and Blade Runner 2049 Exclusive Blu-ray's.

I just kick myself for not picking up the Wizard of Oz 3D Boxset a few weeks ago
