What do you guys think the odds are of some quality steels? It would be extra scummy if they release steels after these. I'm torn. I'm ready to pull the trigger on these slips with original artwork but steels with original art.... Mmmmmmm

Random aside, it would AWESOME if one of the boutique labels like Nova or CineMuseum or whomever did a full premium boxset.

The special television version should be included in the 4K box set as well as the regular editions of the movie being a single release on 4K. The special television version is in face a total rarity and should be included in those editions.
Don't be like Disney and put everything back in the vault and wait a long long time to release them out in the world again. Limited editions are not everybody's cup of tea. Plus Paramount is not producing a whole lot of them anyways. I'm not paying so much money for stickers!

Indeed, would really like the just the Director/Theatrical/TV cuts without all the excess extras.

Because it costs so much to produce all of the content they do for streaming, from what I hear, the streaming services for each studio are, net profit, of less than $0, maybe break even at times, other than for Netflix (although they are quickly heading down from huge profit to small to none, net). Perhaps Disney+ has managed to get above $0 net profit.

And yet before they went all in on streaming, they made mega money from selling physical media to ten million video rental stores and directly to the public. Their outside of box office net profits now are virtually nothing compared to what they used to be if what I hear is correct.

I'm no source but I'll just say this: as it also includes the SLV then it'll be "newly-authored" by default vs the existing theatrical 4K disc, as authoring generally refers to the overall act of making the content into disc-friendly files and "building" the disc, not the visual mastering of the content itself. As such it could still be using the same TMP master with those myriad fixes and tweaks as seen on that extant theatrical 4K.

It would be nice if all three versions are included with the digital copy, but they don't say what's included with it. We won't know until it's actually redeemed in September.

Do you really think they'll forego selling one of their biggest movies after they took the time and expense to reconfigure it? I've been following Paramount's model for a long time. They will fleece their customers with a big expensive box of junky stuff. Then the box will drop in price by half or something within the year. Then they'll repackage it.
