Anyone have any comments / thoughts on Ride the Hot Wind?

Can't find any sort of trailer for it, but I'm assuming it's some sort of 70's biker film? Just wondering the level of 'bikerness'......gritty, sleazy, tame..?

Looking at the '70's 2-pac' at the superstore which offers RTHW and Drive in #16 for $26.99...looks to be a solid deal.

I think it's as much a burned-out Vietnam veteran film as it is a biker film. Fans of 1970s low-budget cinema should like it. It has an unusually macho performance by Tom/Tommy Kirk in the leading role. I hadn't heard of it before, so it proved to be a nice surprise.

Went ahead and ordered up Ride the Hot Wind and DRIVE-IN #16: Classroom Teasers/How to Seduce a Woman for $32 shipped. Both seem interesting/entertaining enough to blind buy at the price.

Wish I could order more, but I need to save up for a new Lambo too Dave! Well, maybe not a Lambo...but the single middle class male equivalent?

Wondering if Dave is ever going to release Heavy Metal Massacre.

Obviously a demand for the flick as it is sought after.

I’ve seen it before but can’t recall if there are any needle drops, but could there be potential music rights which could be holding up a Dark Force release?

Well we appreciate it Savage_Blu...you should be real happy with RIDE THE HOT WIND. We put out the best looking version yet from the original uncut 16mm camera negative. The late great Tommy Kirk was great in it and and some real good 70's brutality especially the ending. DRIVE-IN #16 is pretty fun too. New scans of 2 actual 35mm prints that played the drive-ins so very nostalgic. And speaking of that Lambo we got it just in time. Spoke to O'gara last week and there's now a year and half wait on new ones.

Hey hawk there is a lot of mystery surrounding Heavy Metal Massacre that perhaps one day will be clarified but presently Dark Force just consummated the biggest movie deal that we have ever done on a new movie. Until it is announced in the press the only hints we can give you at this time is that the individual that has taken over the rights to the screenplay is a long time friend/associate of the Demon whose movie career began with us. They are planning on doing it for a whopping budget of between 10 to 15 million which is fantastic for a horror movie. Ironically Dark Force Entertainment was originally formed in 2016 to be the production company that was to make it, but the poor Demon was unable to attain funding but perhaps the real dark forces had much bigger plans in the present day. Now this unnamed individual has full control of the rights to this incredible horror story based on a real life person and events that took place in Los Angeles not too long ago. More huge details on this soon to come.

Took to the interwebs in search of a trailer for Double Nickels and came up snake eyes. However, the full film is available on youtube. I skipped through it and Double Nickels appears to be a standard 70's car chase / road movie of the drive-in fare. Looks solid, so I'm in.
Glad to see the drive in series going strong this year!

Mr. Demon, do you have any info for "Between The Covers"? I can't find anything on-line for it. Even the year of release might help. But director and actors would be okay too!
