you could go here:
http://btob.barnesandnoble.com/home.asp?btob=Y
(this site will give you Criterions for 50% off + 10% off = 55% off) So you'll get a $40 criterion for $18, and $50 criterion (Seven Samurai) for $22.50

you can get Seven Samurai for $22.50 + tax. (maybe you won't have to pay tax if B&N isn't in your state!! )

however, you'll need to buy another Criterion (or something else) to get your cart to $25 to avoid shipping cost

here they are, in bestselling order.
$45.00 at Amazon.

American Psycho.
Decided to re-post my review posted under user-reviews section of the movie.

A Personal Favorite Of Mine.
Movie - 5/5
Although this movie is a personal favorite of mine and one of my all time favorite 10 movies, this is still a masterpiece on its own rights.
A highly detailed study of a specific human character with good acting, script, cinematography and music.
I think this is Christian Bales best role, Oscar Worthy.

PQ - 3.5/5
Pretty adequate PQ. Gets the job done well.

AQ - 4.5/5
AQ is very good. The soundtrack sounds very impressive, and dialog is perfectly balanced and clear.

Overall - 5/5
American Psycho is a love or hate type of movie. If you fall in the first category, it will become one of your all time favorite movies.
At least a rent is highly recommended to see if you fall into "love American Psycho" camp.

I don't love it, I just like it and still think it's more than a little deranged, wish the American transfer was a bit better though.
Prestige 5/5 all around
Other Boleyn Girl - 4/5 movie, 3.5/5 for PQ and AQ, very good movie, mediocre transfer.

Toy Story 3

I finally got around to seeing this. It's been sitting on my shelf for over a week. Pixar doesn't make anything that I don't like, but I have to admit that I have stronger attachment to animals (Ratatouille) and people (Up) than toys or cars. That said, some of the story is emotional.

My favorite scene was
[Show spoiler]when Andy gave his toys away to Bonnie
. Just brilliantly done.

I like the scenes at the end with
[Show spoiler]the Totoro
too.

The presentation, as with every Pixar movie, was perfect.

There was a bit too much action and not enough emotional involvement for my tastes, but I did enjoy it.

4/5

The avatar is Patrick Bateman, the main character in American Psycho, yes I know it doesn't look a lot like Christian Bale. May watch that crazy movie again after MNF.

Is Squid's pic Roberto Benigni??? I always thought it was one of the guys from the promos from "The Riches".

Surf, there's another member with the same pic as you for their avatar and it always confuses me

Sussudio's pic is Patrick Bateman! Thank God it's not him in real life. That was a psychotic narcissistic scene.

Watching Freaky Friday on TV before MNF, kind of sad seeing Harold Gould and Lindsay Lohan in this one, knowing the former is dead and the latter is pretty much done in Hollywood. Oh yeah, 3.5/5 for the movie.

I could have sworn it hit $10 at one point. Maybe I'm just imagining things. I rented it and loved it. It's a pretty feminine movie but I think I still might buy it one day.

Did you click on the smiley in my last reply to you about Seven Samurai? I didn't make it apparent that it was a link.

I need to see that movie again, loved the performances by Meryl and Amy, just didn't love the movie, maybe a second viewing will be more enjoyable.

Triangle

year: 2009

watched Triangle again earlier today with the gf (her first time watching it, which was real fun as she began stating such things as: "wtf is going on?", "whoa, what?", "oh i bet that means something!", and my personal favorite "wtf i totally had this figured out and now i'm lost again" oh how we've all been there)

still a great structured film and i don't have any issues with it. however, when it comes to purchases and my collection i'm trying to only buy / keep films that will have long lasting replay value and i just don't know how much Triangle has for me this is my fifth or sixth viewing in about 5 months of owning it, but usually i only watch it to show someone how crazy and intense it is to follow and construct. but if i'm just sitting around, i have yet to reach for Triangle, so i'm still deciding on keeping it or not.

we all know the story and have discussed it to great lengths in the Triangle thread, so i won't do the same here. i will say, i love the eerie atmosphere. honestly i actually love it a lot more before
[Show spoiler]they're on the boat and Jess is running around
. not that the
[Show spoiler]boat
scenes are bad or anything, the feeling at times is just something that is almost too familiar for the rest of the film and its uniqueness.

+ the atmosphere. love the eerie, haunting opening music and credit sequence. could listen to that forever.

+ the ending. loved it.

+ melissa george. great actress, great role and i couldn't even fathom trying to understand how to play her character to the great depths that she does. masterful performance by her. i would have read the script and had a brain aneurysm before even deciding to sign on or not i would have been so confused

PQ: 4/5 - very solid
AQ: 4.5/5 - also very solid

5/5

I HIGHLY enjoyed it and thought it was a great movie...but never once thought of buying it.

I had fun discussing and studying it for a few days but then I moved on

i'm usually very lazy and instead of renting i just blind buy something. but i'm trying to change that. so i've been going through my collection and see what i want to actually keep and what i own right now because i blind bought it on a "spur of the moment" impulse, which i'm learning to not do as much

No pressure, but yes, Underworld would be the breaking point.

no idea who squid's photo is. I think he said once that he just saw it on some site and used it coz it looked cool. pmmf, doesn't sound like a Baron move to me.

I know!! There is some dude who stole my avatar, but if you look closely: his is a zoom-in shot of Lenny. YOu can't see the polaroid. Clearly a bootleg fake.

Your last one was funny. I once was going to ask you "hey DJ -- is that a whispering scene? What's he whispering in her ear?"
