"Blind Buying" was something I did often while collecting DVD's. It turned out, I only liked half of all those blind buys. Half the time it worked out... half the time it was a mistake and waste of money.
When the Blu-ray format came to fruition, I swore not to "blind buy". There's nothing more annoying than looking at your collection and seeing those "blah" titles on your shelf. Those titles that you know you'll never watch again. They stick out like a sore thumb. That said, these Liongate titles are insanely cheap. For those whose Best Buy didnt have them for sale, your Best Buy sucks. For those people who area fan of any of these movies but are waiting until Oct 5th, you suck. They're the closest thing to a steal since the inception of the format. You're not going to find them for less unless used on eBay or later down the road when the format is dying |

![]() I still didn't blind buy any of the movies I bought with the Best Buy exclusive. I've seen and I like all the ones I bought. Which is most of what was put out by Lionsgate that day haha. |

Very rarely have I ever been disappointed with a blind buy, but I attribute that to a lot of legwork before making any sort of commitment. I think too many people make a purchasing decision solely on the price point and/or the actor(s)/director involved with that project; everything else is either secondary or disregarded. The Blu-ray release may be priced at an affordable $10, but that's not reason enough for me to give it a go. I took into consideration various factors during the evaluation, including the storyline, the cast, its overall rating on Rotten Tomatoes, reading various reviews (both positive and negative), the quality of the video transfer (audio wasn't as important in this case), the presence of extras (if any) on the disc and likelihood of replay value. If the end result isn't quite what I had hoped for, I can always unload it on Amazon Marketplace. |

I agree with you. This movie was well made and the acting was spot on. The ending was just genious. I want to see it again.

I think the movie on DVD alone is wonderful. It's such a pretty film and the instrumental music is fantastic. It's a shame this movie never was given the attention it deserves. Although there is an audience out there for it of course, but to me, it's one of those movies that I think everyone should know about it and should have seen. The acting, the dialogue, etc..... just amazing. I LOVE this film.
I also don't think Patrick Wilson gets the attention he deserves even from the overall fans of this movie. He was so epic in this film. He acted his heart out. He should have won an Oscar. This is one of my top five favorite movies, so I have no problem watching it again after watching already a few times. The last time being last March I think, so knowing me I will watch it on blu-ray. I am just curious to know how different it is exactly from blu-ray as far as the quality goes? Not sure if I am gonna buy it since I bought the DVD just last year, but I may rent it from blockbuster online and I am just wondering if I am just going to watch a copy that has very little difference from my DVD copy.
