All of that coupled with that fiasco of an encoding that was Blood Diamond (which was truly to be my last Warner title for a good long while until I found out about Purple Rain, which I just had to have) had me saying 'heck no' to any more Warner titles, at least for a god 3 or 4 months, but then I saw all the BS that the HD-DVD fanbois were carrying on with on Amazon, and it launched me into action. Suckered into yet another Warner smoothie. Oh, well.

But, it didn't end there, not only did I pre-order 300 on Amazon, but I also went through all of the reviews and reported every HD-DVD fanboi as abusive and marked each review as not helpful - but I didn't stop there either. I then went through all of my Amazon recommendations and marked every single HD-DVD title they had the audacity to recommend as 'Not Interested', and made sure I marked every Blu-ray it recommended which I already owned as 'I Own This' and rated it. THEN, I went into 'Improve Your Recommendations' and went through every Blu-ray that was listed as owned and marked them with these keywords (in addition to some specific to each title, like actors' names, genres, etc.): BD, Blu-ray, High Definition, PS3, Playstation 3, 1080P, HDTV.

Do you think they got me riled up enough?
Now that's what I like to read! Makes me want to buy a second copy as a back up? Not there yet, but I just ordered Shooter.

Mine says the same but The Fifth Element remaster was delivered a day early on the official release day so I am hoping this one is also.

My Blu copy will be arriving tomorrow. I'm looking forward to seeing it - i didn't watch it in the theaters because i figured - $10 bucks now, or own it in hi definition glory in a few months.

Men, Women; fellow esteemed supporters of the Blu-ray format, this is your day! For those of you who haven't already, be sure to buy 300 today. Browse the thread for every good reason you could be looking for.

As for the last minute FUD about another special edition coming out, PLEASE. Beleive that when you see it (if you ever see it), and if you think it's ever going to be much more than the PIP and mini game nonsense on the HD DVD version...

Buy this title now and send your message of that it pays to go Blu-ray!!

I just picked mine up from Futureshop. Now it is lying on my table still packaged, and I'm staring at it and pacing around it in circles.

HA, priceless. I think we'll all be ordering pizza tonight and keeping our neighbours awake with all the audio thunder from this title!... gotta pound HD DVD on this one today... (thanks to the dude above who quoted the difference on the Amazon rankings -- that represents an improvement in the spread in recent days. But 300 on Blu-ray has gotta come out WAAAYYY above HD DVD...

Ordered a 300 for a friend from Amazon to represent but selfishly picked mine up at BB. I'm sorely tempted to skip out on the rest of work and throw it in.

How was their selection? I have to wait until after work to get mine and am concerned about their stock. I remember I had to go to several stores to get Casino Royale when it first came out because they sold out quickly.

The Blu-ray version is going to outsell the HD-DVD version! There are only 373 copies of the Blu-ray version at Amazon, and almost 3,000 for DUD. I am sure that they ordered around the same quantities for each format, but the blu-ray preorders were much larger. Let's crush them!

I picked mine up at BB today. I walked in at 1030 and they opened at 10. Either they ordered FAR less HD DVD copies of 300 or HD DVD was kicking Blu Rays ass AT THIS ONE PARTICULAR BEST BUY. Anyway, cant wait to watch it.

I am now officially in possession of mine (what a beautiful day); I will be placing an Amazon order for my brother later today (gift #1), and (gift #2) one direct to Warner (if it works) for my friend who I'm getting to buy a PS3 on Saturday (after recently successfully talking him off a cliff when he had a Toshiba H-A2 thing on hold -- bye bye HD DVD).
