I don't think Russell is going to make it to the merge this time. Hiding the machete just to stir up trouble? Really? That's going to cost him big time when it gets found out..... and I think it will.

i think that's exactly what they are going after, they want to show how these players are playing it for the 3rd or 4th time and what their strategies are.....b/c it's going to take a lot of plotting to make it far w/this cast.

that, and all of the challenges are from past seasons, there are no new ones @ all....so i'm sure they didn't want to run out of challenges for them.

On a side note, anyone else bugged by the fact that they're only doing one challenge for both reward and immunity? To me, the challenges are an awesome part of the show, and I don't like having just one per show. On the other hand, I guess it lets the viewer get into some of the more social parts of the game. They probably figure that with it being another "all-star" cast, that we want to see them playing the social game over having two challenges every week.
this, because they have to plan it out ahead of time, i think they just decided that watching the social game unfold was going to be more interesting than the challenges, but really, i dont like that, they should run seperate challenges IMO, but oh well, it just seems like a few spots are straining to fill in enough of the social game stuff, id just rather see them do more challenges, because what happens in those can really drive the social game afterwards

i agree, next week looks interesting, russell and rob, i hate to say, i think rob is going to win that though, because a few people already seem weary of russell, plus rob has the bogger star factor for people to want to align with him, russell is going to need to work some serious magic to stay in this one

i dont know if it will get found out that HE hid the machete, but i agree, thats a really stupid move, whats the point in making them all mad? they are already wondering about him, so when they get mad about the machete missing, they wont all go at each other because they are pissed off, they are gonna go at him, because they dont know him, but they dont like him either, its a different situation than the last time when nobody knew about anybody

While I liked Russell hiding the machete I think also It could really hurt him this time. These people are not stupid. He just needs to be careful. This time he should have waited till the merge to start doing these kind of games etc. That way if he did take a item from his own tribe after the merge it would look like the other tribe did it.

By the look of the preview of next week, I think that the Villians lose a another challenge and Russell doesnt do good in the challenge causing them to lose. Thus causing Boston Rob to get mad and saying that Russell is the cause of the problem and in order for them to get better they need to get rid of him.

I have to disagree. I think it's the Heroes on the outs in the next episode. I have this feeling that someone gets idoled on the Heroes tribe. After all the episode is called
[Show spoiler]Tonight, We Make Our Move
. On the other hand it could be a villain getting idoled but I don't think that's the case. I honestly think Russell is going to be fine and that Boston Rob will leave before he does. He's much smarter than Boston Rob and will play him like a fiddle. Oh and can you say 3 for 3 lol.

There were some funny things people said last night. Russell said something like "Im the daddy" and "I dont even like the Red Sox, Its the Houston Astros Baby" and of course James said " No Karate chopping"( I forgot, when did he say that?)

James said that after Coach had thought he'd won a point for the Villains at the challenge. Another funny moment was Tyson kissing JT after losing to him.

But by far the biggest failure was by the man who was chosen to lead the challenge beforehand and then failed to do so. Then James telling her to shut her mouth? Well that's going to cost him the game.
JT was never given the chance to step up. The moment they got to the puzzle everyone started barking out orders. One of them being Stephanie. Was the loss completely her fault? No. Was it her time to go? Yes. And to be honest, she really should have kept her mouth shut after she was voted off. Nothing bugs me more then a sore loser, and saying idiotic stuff like that after your voted off deserves retaliation.

i have a feeling that james is going to go off the deep end soon, he doesnt seem too stable right now, and another challenge loss might put him over the edge

Yeah I think he's going to be gone soon too, but not too soon because his alliance has the numbers right now. I think Tom was right by saying he's next on the chopping block, but the addition of the idol is going to mix things up and might catch someone soon if not at the next TC.

i REALLY REALLY hope russell starts finding immunity idols without clues again

question for everyone, do you think they schedule the challenges out for the whole season in advance, or do you think they just have all of the challenges they want to do that season laid out and then decide as they are shooting which one to do that particular day? i decided that i think they pick on the go, because they know there are specific challenges that either side will do better at, its clearly emerging that the heros have the edge physically, while the villans compete better in the puzzles, and i think the producers decide which type of challenge to do in order to push certain peoples buttons to try and get reactions out of them, what do you all think?

They've done it in past seasons, they seem to switch up the format every now & then, look to see separate challenges for reward and immunity once the numbers start to dwindle down.

I've also noticed there is no exile island this season.

This is the third consecutive season without Exile, I believe.

I swear that they pick and choose challenges depending on how the season is going, and the people left playing. I distinctly remember a few seasons back when it was all women left, that there were zero of the physical type challenges near the end, and that really put me off.

ok, so at least its not just me that thinks so, i was wondering if that was crazy or not, but if you think about it, that strategy fits in perfectly for most reality tv, the just have a ton of challenges all ready to go, then they pick and choose which one they want in order to push peoples buttons and move the game in a certain direction, they probably use all of the ones they pick at the planning phase of the season, because of the sets they have to build, but they choose which is played each day on the fly

I think that if the Heroes vote someone out, it will be either Tom or Candace. I think Jerri will be the next Villain to go.

I'm really intrigued by this whole Rob vs. Russell thing. I hope it lasts for a while.

I think think the Heroes lose the immunity challenge and Cirie is voted out. If the Villians manage to lose the immunity challenge (which I don't think will happen) I think Tyson is the one to get the boot.

im with you guys, i hope the rob/russell thing goes deep into the game, that would be awesome, but i do think that rob will get the best of it, hes one of the most well known people in survivor, which commands a lot of people looking to you and andting to have you around for the star factor if nothing else, and nobody really knows russell at all, as much as i like russell and hope he wins, he will have to switch up his game a LOT to give himself a chance
