I heard Alison Williams from Girls was on the short list of being looked at for Susan Storm.

In the comics, they constantly alluded to Johnny Storm's love of hockey and his inability to dance.

Does being black guarantee you can dance? I just thought being white guaranteed you couldn't.

I'm not sure why they changed Jessica Albas eyes in the second film though?
I didn't know that they changed Jessica Albas eyes. What did they change them to?

Actually, reports (and IMDB appearantly) have linked Allison Williams to possibly playing the role:

Although her casting is far from a sure thing at this point, Deadline is reporting that Allison Williams, one of the stars of HBO's "Girls," is up for a role in Josh Trank's Fantastic Four. Whether that part is the female lead of Invisible Woman Susan Storm or another role remains to be seen.

Details are currently few on the project all around outside of Trank directing from script by Seth Grahame-Smith, Michael Green and Jeremy Slater. Production is slated to begin soon, however, with the film targeting a March 6, 2015 release.

I really hope this doesn't get off the ground, the film I mean. It already has fail written all over it. Marvel really needs this property back in their studio.

We'll see what happens. I'm starting to think the only property Fox is "taking seriously", which I say lightly seeing as how some of the film's turned out, is the X-Men series. It'll be interesting to see if this actually pushes forward into production, or if it'll inevitably fall apart and go home to Marvel. If it does, then we'd only have two more major properties to go.

If Marvel gets the Fantastic Four property back we could have THE SKRULLS! GALACTUS! THE SILVER SURFER! DOCTOR ****ING DOOM!

So many possibilities for not only The Avengers film series, but for huge team up films! The Avengers, FF, Dare Devil on film together, fighting off the invading Skrulls? Maybe their leader Galactus shows up?

I just hate the fact that if this movie bombs as well, we'll have to have ANOTHER reboot when the rights return to Marvel. They might not be ready to pull the trigger on something like Daredevil or the Punisher, but you best believe they'd be all over a Fantastic 4 film quick if they get the rights back.

Personally, even if it would cost quite a bit of money, I'd just buy all the rights back to the characters they don't have. I'd much rather pay for a well known property that's still popular, than wait till it's been dragged through the dirt and and nearly ruined. I'm afraid that's what's going to happen with this one.

But the main point is this:

We have an flat out awesome Marvel movie-verse and Spider-Man, the Fantastic 4 and the X-Men are not a part of it and that's just... wrong.

Luckily Marvel can just go The Incredible Hulk route and reboot during the opening credits. Problem solved and I bet it would look really good too.

The issue with buying back properties is the studio won't let them go until they stop making money from them. I highly doubt Fox would sell the X-Men rights back to Marvel until they run it into the ground.

Blue, was kinda weird too, guess they wanted her to look more like the Sue Storm from the comics.

That Incredible Hulk (Norton Version) montage in the opening is simply the greatest ever reboot any movie series could have been given and it did it in less than 10 minutes.

I mean, what the hell else do you need to see before you realise that is the absolutely perfect model to reboot a series to fit into the MCU or set the ground work in 10 mins and start running off into the action.

Agreed. They accomplished so much in that credit scene. I hope it is their go to move for Marvel when using the character who have already had their origin told in a movie.

The only property they would need to retell the origin in full if they get the property back is the original X-Men

DareDevil, Spider-Man, FF just do a montage recap and go from there!

This news reeks of fail. We've already seen what happens when they're not true to the source material.

That joke has always been stale. The roots of dancing originated in Europe.

Think he meant the historically recorded 'White' variants etc.

Don't take this personal, because it's a generalisation Rockzilla, but a lot of people are naïve to the truth because they've not been given or researched information, just heard so and so thing in passing and believed it.

Education systems are probably the most covert systems of propaganda we have to be fair. The history taught is severely slanted to show the 'truth' from the desired perspectives.

Not about the reboot, but my friend is making a documentary about the Roger Corman Fantastic Four movie from the 90s.
