Most of their stock is crappy leftovers from the Blockbuster sales (in rental cases) that I wouldn't even buy for $1. Needless to say, the same stuff has been sitting on the shelf for quite some time.

No idea where this person lives, but I go Blu-ray shopping at Pawn Shops in Durham, NC and this is the EXACT thing I see. $10 Blu's with a lot of Blockbuster cases. I am able to get all the $10 for $8. One Pawn Shop in the area, which is under the same name as the other 2, sells them for like $15 or $20. I was blown away. Maybe it is this guy's fault for paying too much or he is trying to get back a monster return.

Did some checking at several of my shops today. While most prices have stabilized into the $5 range, unfortunately the titles have not. Seems like every shop had multiple copies of the same titles. It used to be Benjamin Button. Today it was Don't Mess With The Zohan. One shop had 5 copies.

The best deal I've ever gotten was the Harry Potter trunk for $20, and it had nearly everything in it. That was several years ago and I haven't been close since.

Wal-Mart in my area likes to dump unsellable stock at Goodwill, I got lucky and picked it up without knowing what it cost retail.

I found Great Dictator Criterion Blu $9.95.

I haven't been to pawn shops in a good six months and now the two I went to today lowed prices and start at $5. I almost bit on $5 Midnight in Paris, but wasn't sure I'd rewatch it, even though I was a fan, and have had the chance to pick it up new for that during U&S and didn't bite.

I've still been going once a week or so but haven't bought anything. Seems every time I head to the counter with a movie and check the condition, it looks like someone took a fork to it and I walk out with nothing. Also found another pawn shop a few miles out, but they wouldn't budge from $9.99/each and acted offended when I tried to negotiate.
