Just a heads up, the product page seems to be being updated right now. It's now showing that the steelbook only includes 1 disc inside (as expected) and the release date is now 02/09/13, noooo

The price was already updated from £27.99rrp to it's current price. I honestly don't think it's going to get any lower, Zavvi are catching on to the fact they can charge what they like and people will still buy it.

Nope.. 1 of each.

I sold all my standard blu-rays for 350 just last month! So I've basically already spent it on steelbooks

They are all coming out over the next few months so if you break it down it's not really that bad but it sounds a lot all in one go.

I debated with myself for some time over this but I decided that I'll simply pass on this and The Jungle Book for the prices being charged. I would have bit for closer to $20 per title (even $25), but $30+ for a 2D Disney I just can't justify, no matter how much I like the artwork for The Little Mermaid.

Hate to say it but Zavvi really dropped the ball on this one. No 3D and extortionate pricing is no way to make a sale with those who are on the fence.

Oh bloody hell, that's made me nervous! I seemed to get away with using the code fine but if they decide to reject the order after it's sold out I'll be furious.

It's not hard to pre order that much

I've got 20 pre orders between now October so far and that adds up to around £376....

And thats whats listed in my sig below, if I were buying multiples I'd be in the thousands easily, and I just don't have that kind of cash :P

If I did I'd certainly be spending it on more pre orders not multiples! Can't get enough BDs

Zavvi worked out everyone was using codes to order steelbooks a few months ago thats why they stopped them from being used on steels, they aren't stupid and yet another way they are taking advantage of us collectors

There are the odd ones that slip through the system now and again but they never last long, especially when they get posted on places like HotUKdeals.

So you guys think they could actually cancel orders based on discount codes? I used the 4 off 40 for Little Mermaid and Reservoir Dogs no problem yesterday.

I'm not sure about their process, I actually wrote them and told them to not look into the issue for me because I don't want to take the chance they cancel my order. Totally not trying to scare anyone off or anything like that.
