Well, in the show, the Greatjon has been off in the Riverlands retaking land and castles from the Lannisters (according to the 'War of Five Kings' feature on the S2 Blu-ray). Whether he and his men attended The Red Wedding seems undertermined.

Since Sam already knows about the Black Gate, it's doubtful (but still possible) that we see Coldhands this season.

I really really dont want Ygritte to die . That will be the hardest death for me probably for the whole series so far. Really wish if they could deviate from the books in a big way that they choose to keep her alive. Gonna be hard to see the horny, sexy redhead not make it.

Doubt they show the wolf head on Robb's body. Why would Ygritte die so early? Sam is back where? To the wall where he meets Bran, or that and then back to Castle Black? I don't think Jamie is back to KL yet either.

too soon for Ygritte to die.....isn't John commander when the wildlings attack the wall??

No. IIRC he is second in command for the large battle, and assumes control after the "interim" commander is killed defending the tunnel from one of the giants.

During the skirmish south of the wall his loyalty is still being questioned. He positions himself in a tower with a few other nights guard and helps defend Castle Black.

He doesn't become commander until well after the battle at the wall. Stannis is impatient at the Night's Watch for not providing him with a commander to begin negotiations on the occupation of additional towers along the wall, further delaying his inevitable march south.

How far into the battle at the Wall does she die? I'm having trouble remembering. I'd imagine they'd want to save the battle until the latter half of the season, but it depends on how they're structuring the season (and when they bring in material from AFFC/ADWD).

On the subject of Jaime, it does seem like he might get back to King's Landing in the finale, which would indeed change things a bit. Time will tell, I suppose.

She dies during the attack on Castle Black, so before the actual full-on siege/battle began.

If he does arrive before Joffery's wedding/death, it would make sense later on when he releases Tyrion. He may notice something at the feast that make him doubt Tyrion's guilt.

As robertee said, If I remember correctly, the Wildings south of the wall attack Castle Black, and Ygritte dies, before the Wilding north of the wall attack.
