I can't find a 24p force option anywhere.
Anyone else have any luck? I hope it comes soon in a later firmware release. |

Anyone own the 1400 and can compare the PQ between the two? My Samsung works near perfectly now and the picture is definitely better than the BD10A I had (I did direct comparisons).
Just direct comparisons please, no "it should be better" remarks- thanks. |

I did have issues with it and my dvdo while trying to pass at 1080p. Ah, the joys of HDMI handshaking. ![]() |

First hiccup.
I tried to play "The Lake House" and all I got was a "Copyright Violation" message from the player. So far two Disney titles, "Meet the Robinsons" and "Chicken Little" played fine. I tried connecting to my dvdo switch and direct with the same results in an attempt to rule out a HDMI issue. I have the latest firmware installed. |

I just picked up and installed my new BD30 last night, so don't have a lot to say about it yet. It was late when I got finished configuring but I plan to give it some use later tonight. Setting it up was very simple for use with my Sony Pearl. All I had to do basically was to turn on 1080/24p support, and set the audio up for bitstream. Pretty easy. Then I popped in the nearest BD that I had handy (Bad Santa) just to verify that all was working. One thing that I noticed right away. The blacks are a big improvement over the PS3

Now I really don't know who is right and who is wrong. Is 1080i to 1080p upscaling that good/bad and remote that good/wierd??. |

I just replaced an older Samsung DLP with the 5089S, I also just purchased a Panasonic BD30 and have this set with HD Cable and a Pioneer Elite VSX-92TXH. My question is, should I set my Panny BD30 to 1080P/24 with this tv or should I just leave it set to "Auto". I am not sure that this tv will accept 1080P/24....I am thinking 1080P/60 ? If this should be posted somewhere else, please move it or let me know. thanks in advance

I have two DMP-BD30's and they are both great, however after reading some of the reviews for how it compares to the PS3, I am considering returning one in exchange for a PS3. I'm not really big into video games, but don't mind having the option of playing games, especially my old PS2 games. I would probably return the BD30 that I have in my family room hooked up to a 50 inch Panasonic, but I just can't make up my mind. Any advice/suggestions/reccomendations?

Also, I can't seem to set my DMP30's to 24p. Could it be that my T.V's don't support it? I have a Panasonic TH-50PZ750U in my Family room and a Panasonic TH-42PZ700U in my living room. |

Check your manuals. I don't think either support 1080p/24. When I connected my BD30 to my pioneer plasma it recognized 24p right away.
