It's now an OCD nightmare for me because even if i threw away the slip the insert does not line up the name on the spine; it's incredibly off-center (but that's my nightmare to live with).
I hate the fact they put stickers on the slips. Which I why I usually order from Amazon; they mostly come "Sticker free."

Did your Amazon Dawn have stickers?

Pretty sure it's a Fox thing.

The two stickers on the bottom corners of the slip-cover were very hard to peel off without making any gouging marks for a pristine slip-cover scan. Then the remaining glue residue had to be removed rubbing gently using Goo-gone.

I usually just use some tape and dab it at the sticky areas and it usually pulls it all off.

Tried it but it doesn't seem to work with this type of glue residue left from the back of the stickers, and is stronger than the sticker paper structure for one-piece removal. The bonding agent coalesces to the cardboard and will not release where it comes in contact and fuses. Rubbing increases the affected area until the Goo-gone is applied, diminishing the fusing property.

I assume right now, you are left with the lighter color where the Goo Gone residue remains. Trust me, grab a wet paper towel and wipe it off, when it dries you won't be able to see it anymore. (You might have to use some pressure)

(For Rise, I accidentally used the Goo Gone Gel. It completely removed that soft touch finish and exposed the silver underneath. Yikes!)
It was a darker black color on the two bottom sides when I was done with it. Only used a little GG and then wiped with dry towel. I guess there's no use in trying with a damp one now but thanks for the heads up. I'll remember for next time.

If you go over the entire front cover with a soft paper towel or kleenex that has a small amount of GG on it and wipe it off with a dry towel, the color will dry uniformly to the original darker black/brown color making it look pristine. It worked for me.

Did anybody end up with an extra code?

I bought some from FoxConnect and gave the codes away. My Beat Buy steelbook didn't have a code card. :/

Yeah. Wet towels wipe chemicals away. I use Q-tips to apply Goo Gone liberally and rub the glue till it lifts, the wipe clean with wet towels. Gotta use multiple towels for clean wipes. Dry will scratch, scuff and smear chemicals around. Oh well.

Received my copy in the mail from Amazon. It had stickers on the slipcover. I carefully pulled off each one without ruining the matte finish. After that, I did like others have done by taking the stickers and rolling them on the areas where sticky residue was left. Came off just fine and looks perfect.

Just got my copy from amazon and I didn't expect a black bluray case really matches with the art. I love it

I'm slightly disappointed that the "Before the Dawn" shorts didn't make the special features. If you haven't seen them, check em' out below:

I think the movie looks really beautiful in 3d. Some scenes are quite striking actually with great depth and layering. Yeah it has its share of mild 3d shots too but overall the 3d adds a lot to my viewing experience. I consider the 3d blu-ray to be the definitive version of the movie.

How likely is a price drop for the 3-D edition (for the black case, and slipcover) before year's end?

If you're in need of an extra code you can have mine. I never use them. Just pm me if you still need one, and any other codes you need that I might have

I'm not that big of a techie, but can someone explain to me why the 3D version has a sharper image than the 2D version? I've seen both editions and the 2D has a softer look to it.

may be the brain sees 2 separate views as a higher resolution image.

Thanks for mentioning this. I stuck the 2D disc in to listen to the commentary and it didn't seem nearly as sharp as the 3D disc.
