Just remember that even though I might call a movie you like "super stupid" I have shit like Forbidden World and Contamination in my collection, because I am an 80's sci-fi fanboy. It don't get stupider than that stuff. We all have our weird tastes and movies we turn our brains off for, I understand that. That's just not what I personally wanted from Jurassic World, and also I hate modern CGI so that surely made it worse.
I would love to know how Jurassic World is 'super stupid'.

Don't worry, I wasn't referring to you. But there are others on this forum who have been guilty of being condescending.

If the plan is to truly militarize the I-Rex as hinted in JW then the appropriate title should be Jurassic War.

It was militarising raptors, not the Indominus Rex. The whole reason why Vic Hoskins was suggesting the idea was because he knew Owen could control the raptors. Owen couldn't control the Indominus Rex.

No, it was also the I-Rex. Remember the scene in the lab where Hoskins says "Imagine these things a fraction of the size, deadly...able to hide from the most advanced military technology"?

Yeah, you forgot that part.

I hope the acting is better in this. Yes Universal, you can return to the class of the original and still make it a blast.

Having the original actors come back is an awful idea. Those characters have been through hell. Why would they ever put themselves in the position to be near the dinosaurs again? It would feel like they were putting them in just for nostalgic state.

While I always wished Grant and Ellie had gotten a happy ending together (I don't know what happens in the books), I didn't actually say anything about bringing the original cast back. I was talking about the quality of acting and in depth characters only!

I read it as the original actors coming back. My statement still stands. They aren't in the second book and the first, when it comes to them, is more or less the same.

As long as Bryce Dallas Howard returns with a cute haircut and a dirty tank top, I have all I need.

The JW cast was just as good if not better than the JP cast.

One has Jeff Goldblum and the other does not. There's no comparison.

I don't agree but we're both entitled to our opinions.

I haven't seen JW, so can't comment on her acting in that. But generally she has seemed like a pretty good actress. She was very good in Manderlay, and she was hysterical in The Help.

Maybe her problem here was the material? Like I said, I haven't seen it.
