yeah we are buggered in the Uk, unless we get exclusive early releases, its either pay more and hopefully get it earlier from states or wait for a better deal, Wowhd can be quite good, its always worth checking prices,

It's also released in Germany on October 20th.

Amazon hasn't adjusted the date yet and price should drop a little, too. But the delivery time should be much shorter compared to the US and Australia.

...if you don't mind a German cover.

@08shandw
forgot to mention the region locking, oh there isnt any! not for UHD discs anyway, i think most of the Blu rays that come with the UHD discs are also region free, as far as i know,

there are only a few studios that lock blu ray titles,

The excellent 3D presentation of this one will be severely missed, even if the UHD version turns out to be great.

Has anyone seen/read any news on a U.S. release of this yet? This is one of my favorite Blu Rays and love watching this movie, but if there's no word on a U.S. release I'll just import a copy for my collection.

not sure what's going on, but it seems Pacific Rim (4K Ultra HD + Blu-ray) (Bilingual) is available right now at walmart.ca for a purchase (not pre-order)

'Creed' was also earlier in store in Canada than in the USA. Warner Bros really lacks in marketing when it comes to UHD titles. Watchmen, Man of Steel etc no press releases.

Atmos is another big upgrade (for me). The expanded color in the HK battle sequence should be killer. UHD just isn't HDR.
