There was no option for all 4 of them, so I voted for the original

For only one... Alien.

Practically, I will watch Alien 3 once then it will collect dust while the others will become well acquainted with my player over the years to come.

I like all 4, so I want all of them.

However my favorite is the first installment of the series: Alien.

Strangely enough, I like all 4 movies. Ridley Scott's Alien is high on my list - it's hands down my favorite. I've always had some problem with James Cameron's Aliens - too much action and not enough characterization - something I've come to expect from him. (I wouldn't mind as much, but the atmosphere in the first film is much better imho) David Fincher's Alien3 (or Alien Cubed :P) is an interesting piece of work. I enjoyed many of the performances, though changing the xenomorph as much as they did and some of the hurr-durr situations didn't help to make me change my mind that the series had taken a wrong turn. Then Jean-Pierre Jeunet's Alien:Resurrection solidified the series as one big mess, even though I enjoyed the first half of the movie, the last half was just a cluster-f**k of bad ideas, moving away from Giger's work (imho). Although it was much better than the AvP movies. WAY better! I'd love to see the series get revived and back on track, but it would need some great writing and a great director (someone like Guillermo del Toro directing and Hiroshi Takahashi doing the story treatment and screenplay - this, of course, is totally off the wall and a very risky, experimental gathering of talent on my part, but I wanted to think 'outside the box')

Of course, Scott is supposedly involved with "Untitled Alien Prequel #1" - but I really think this is an unwise move since he is no longer the director he used to be. I doubt he'll take the kind of chances he did in 1979 with the original. I also think any remakes would be unwise.

Well, my $0.02 - take it for what it's worth!

I would get all 4 if they came in a set. If they are sold individually, I'll take 1, 3 and 4.

I've only seen one of these films and it was only part of it. I am thinking of blinding buying all 4 when they are released. Since I have not seen them, I will abstain from voting. If I were to vote on what I've heard, I would vote for Alien.

While I do like the first two movies (with Aliens being the better), but I didn't think Alien: Resurrection was terrible. Did people expect it to rival the first two?

As far as owning goes, there is no way with my Blu OCD that I could own 1,2, and 4 without having 3. A box set seems the only way to go.

Alien was a good intro, but I liked Aliens more because of the fun factor.

...I liked all 4, with 2 as an obvious favorite. I haven't seen 3 in a long time, but I remember really liking it...we'll see how it holds up now.
