Maybe its just me, but I never named myself anything other than Link

It makes sense due to the voice acting. You wouldn't want a computerized voice trying to pronounce your name, or worse, pausing whenever your name is spoken (because pausing would interrupt the flow of engagement)

I swear, if Amazon sends me the Wii U version of Breath of the Wild. When I ordered it was "Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild - Switch". They've now changed it to "The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild - Wii U". The cover art indicates it's still the Switch version, but who knows what they'll send me.

Yesterday, the Pro controller was listed as "Nintendo Nintendo Switch Pro Controller Nintendo Wii U".

Good grief, Amazon. Stop messing around with the Switch pages.

They have a whole separate page with the WiiU artwork and description, and even the page for the Switch console itself specifies as "Platform: Nintendo Wii, GameCube" so obviously they just don't have a category up yet for the Switch. I wouldn't worry about it too much ~ the Switch/WiiU pages for Zelda also both have different ASINs so there shouldn't be a problem in the warehouse I wouldn't think

Sounds dumb to me. Nintendo has said they design Link with both male and female tastes in mind, so it's easy for everyone to put themselves in his shoes. This seems like a step in the other direction.

Games like FFX or Persona never had this problem. Tidus and the other Mains have canon names, the npcs just skirt around it in dialogue.

I'm a little concerned that the Zelda guide on Amazon.co.uk has been taken down. I got my pre-order in on the day I first posted about it here, so do you think my order will still get processed or be cancelled? Do you think it was just taken down because Nintendo didn't want information leaked about the game, and it will be back up in March?

Wow. Zelda BOTW took 300 developers and 4 years to make. What doesn't add up for me is they say that it will have to sell 2 million units to break even. That sounds like a really low number. Unless they're not planning much marketing or they pay their developers slave wages, I don't see how this game breaks even at only 2 million units sold.

Update on this, the page that you were talking about now says "Switch" again and also the platform correctly states "Nintendo Switch"

He keeps saying getting 100% everything done is impossible, but there is a definite end to the stuff. At some point they had to say to their team of 300, "ok we are done. Go home." It's not like counting the stars in the sky, there is a finite number of things in Breath of the Wild.

I'll be disappointed if this really has horrific frame rate when you're outside like some youtubers have been saying.

I've heard the opposite. Apparently it has better frame rate in handheld mode since it only has to render at 720p as opposed to 900p in TV mode. The grass drops frames when rendering at 900p.
