Well, it's not that they couldn't put both a 2K 2D and 4K 2D version into the same DCP, but they don't. No-one does. If x studio uses a 4K DCP then obviously they're happy enough to have it be used as an on-the-fly downconvert to 2K in whatever cinema. It doesn't bother Lucasfilm as Solo looks to be their third straight Star Wars movie finished & released in 4K, but Marvel clearly have some issues with doing 4K theatrical DCPs.

I know I just saw this 30 minutes ago and it’s really early, but....

Best comic book movie IMO. Thanos’ story adapted perfectly. Part 2 better deliver.

Glad it’s coming soon.

And yeah, audio was pretty muted in the theater. People who were mad at Disney’s previous audio tracks still won’t be happy with this one.

It was a little frustrating to me watching what was clearly a 2K DCP after spending so many months anticipating what I knew to be a 100% 4K-finished movie, but at least it gives me an extra visual lustre to look forward to when I get the disc.

The movie did not disappoint.

I know that the movie is actually starting today in most theaters. But at what point will Best Buy pull the trigger and go live with the pre-order? I don't want to miss out. I'll keep checking through the days here and keep my eyes open.

Red card exclusive for the target exclusive, limit 5 per red card holder. And it's only $41.99!!! That's a steal...

But seriously, I expect that price to come down. I hope that the packaging gets some type of exclusive treatment as well. The funko figure is cool, but that's not necessarily what I'm looking for in an exclusive release. Is it an exclusive figure?

At the very least, it's nice seeing target do a 4k exclusive!!
