Nice to see indie projects on UHD, didn't think an under-the-radar movie like this would get a 4K release.

lol jk already got my opening night ticket, will have the Best Buy Steelbook pre-ordered as soon as it goes up.

Amazing movie, definitely the best MCU movie and maybe even the best superhero movie of all time. Day One.

Huh? I don't think even reviewers have seen this yet, it's too early for my sarcasm detector to work, so I'm confused. lol

It was sarcasm, although if it delivers what it’s selling in the trailers, it might be the best MCU movie.

Unless the IMAX Alexa cameras got a big upgrade, then it would be the 6.5k.

I was forced into buying my opening night tickets in 3D because all the 2D show times sold out in minutes, and all that was left was 3D.

I'll probably see it again in IMAX 2D and will definitely pick this up once it's out.

I'm nervous as to whether of not the 4K UHD disc will have the proper IMAX aspect ratio. If not, it'll be a missed opportunity, considering it was shot with IMAX cameras, and has a 4K master...

I may be wrong, but I think both Avengers 3 & 4 were shot on the new digital 4K IMAX cameras that were used on Sully.

The Alexa IMAX cameras are 6.5K, not 4K.

The reasons I tend to think there is hope that the non-3D disc versions WILL be released in the IMAX ratio are because, like you said, the entire movie was shot that way, and because it's actually being released in IMAX 2D as well as 3D, whereas I think previous movies were released in IMAX 3D only.

Black Panther and Ragnarok have been released in IMAX 2D as well to my knowledge.
