I certainly hope that this one will live up to the expectations of its fans. I think that the story seems more interesting and the levels would be more complex and interactive.

Insomniac is considered one of the finest game makers for the PS3 by giving it two of the best games we have seen in its library so far. After playing Ratchet and Clank Future TOD, I think that Insomniac is maturing as a PS3 developer and they can do only one thing- Improve their skills as PS3 developers.

Actually the first one left tons of questions unanswered and left room for a sequel. So, we know that the game is not going to be Halo BS made Sh**. It will have a genuine story. Yeah, and if the reviewers turn this one down just because its not Halo TM, I will be disappointed.

Game Infomer will probably think good things about Resistance 2 since they gave the first one a good review (9/10 I think)

I understand your trepidation, but Insomniac is quite simply the best PS3 developer out there. They've even held informational clinics with other developers to help bring them up to speed on the PS3 platform. Given this is Insomniac's third game on the engine they built from the ground up, I am confident this will be out fall '08.

I have this issue of Game Informer, and the in-game shots that are there look simply amazing. Insomniac has added a lot of dynamic lighting and self shadowing effects to the engine, and it definitely shows this time around. It gives the characters and scenery the illusion of a lot more depth and that is awesome.

I can't wait for 60 player online matches. This will be freakin' sweet!

Let's see what the microsoft friendly media will do with Resistance 2.

Let's say that Gears of War 2 comes out at about the same time.

Although there are minimal onscreen activities (again) with good art direction (globs of makeup to cover up an ugly face) but same old 1.5 generation graphics (need to turn off the lights again) Gears of War 2 might (oh brother) take the crown again with game of the year awards while the super technical raw horsepower Resistance 2 will be treated like Cinderella by the wicked stepsisters and stepmother, we do have hope that the media has finally realized that artificial life support they are giving the xbox360 to keep it alive is no longer as effective as it once was, as the xbox360 is in a pretty bad state now.



PS3: The Cinderella story
In summary, is the media going to pull a fast one again? As much as the media will try to ram those glass slippers onto the foot of the xbox360, those glass slippers will - in the end - only fit the PS3. This, everyone will learn eventually in due time.







MGS4 / Resistance 2 / Grand Turismo 5 / Final Fantasy XIII...it'll be a good year for PS3 gaming.
