Also it's commented on very bluntly in episode 3 or 4 of season one, where Tilly says she's "never met a female named Michael before." It's not like the show pretends it's normal.

I disagree with the latest PQ review on this site. Better than 3 stars. IMO, 4 stars. Looks stunning on my OLED.

Any signs of the "globular frozen chunks" mentioned in the review? They don't sound like your standard subspace anomaly.

I really don't understand the bad reviews for the video of Star Trek Discovery season 2.
I got my Steelbook today and watched 3 episodes and they look nothing like season 1. Definition is much improved and color has more pop. On season 1 I saw two main issues,one was video noise, and second some scenes look overly soft and fuzzy, I suspect these may have been shot on 1080p and then zoomed in on postproduction. Nothing of this happens on the three episodes of season 2 I've watched.
Audio is also improved,there's real bass now.

The picture seemed fine to me. I just bought the BD so I never watched the show on CBS all access, or whatever its called. But I don't really remember think season 1 looked bad, only the first 3 of Enterprise. I did enjoy Season 2 more than 1, and looking forward to 3 with it breaking out of the just before TOS mold.

My Samsung 4k player won't play this, keeps saying error disc does not meet specifications... anybody have a work around???

It would require a new firmware update. However, since that is unlikely from Samsung, your best bet is a new player.

Version 1113.3 (12 Dec 2019) is the latest firmware version available for your player.

hopefully this is priced similarly to the old ST TNG Next Level Sampler disc considering the episodes are micro episodes, and several
of them already being available on disc.

Bring back Lorca already! I've seen every episode of ever trek (with the exception of Voyager which I mostly hate. ) Lorca is my favorite captain ever. I don't really mind if I get Prime or Mirror Lorca. Prime Lorca would be great as we haven't really met him yet so that's a must. But Mirror Lorca could have been saved in the network or something.
