Have a feeling they are just gonna be Prince of Darkness, the Fog and Escape from New York. I'd love to see Big Trouble in Little China but I'm guessing they are just repackaging the releases by SC.

I think PoD is a given (it's another Universal title in the US, like Beer Hunter and They Live) but do they still have the license with MGM for Fog and EFNY? If not then another label might snap them up.

Big Trouble would be so awesome but as it's with Foxney now then **** knows. Shout's licence with Fox for the BD will be allowed to run its course but UHD is a long shot I think.

the Dolby Vision encode is not "that" bad per say, but there's room for a lot of improvement.

I gotta feeling that SF will be doing “Escape From New York”, “The Fog” and “Prince of Darkness” on UHD if “They Live” does well. I’ll buy all of them without any hesitation, provided they fix the awful audio and video issues that “The Fog” has on the SC version. It was so disappointing when the audio kicked in and sounds like it’s been sped up. Let’s hope that “The Thing” will get a UHD release this year.

Well, if The Fog received a Dolby Atmos remix like They Live, the distributors would probably have to use the archival stems and that might be a way to actually fix an issue like that, but only if they are meticulous in their efforts.

Eh, it was simply SC's incompetence. But I see what you're saying, that if they port all this stuff across from the SC version then it'll have these problems baked in, so an Atmos remix would be a way to circumvent it. But if they're able to access the stems then they can also do a proper mono with the correct pitch while they're at it.

As it's already been mentioned twice on this page, SF lost the rights to Escape from New York, so it won't be a title that they will release on UHD or otherwise. I wouldn't be surprised if Kino does, but it won't be SF.

It looks like Scream Factory's 4K disc will be different. Scream Factory's version has a new 7.1 audio track.
