Ha! Got impatient and ordered the Australian disc from jbhifi during their B2G1 sale. Still waiting on it to get here from Australia. Kinda hope there’s nothing new on Shout’s version so I don’t feel compelled to buy it.

In all seriousness this will be a very easy sell for Scream Factory, but the Studio Canal release was fantastic and has been heavily and easily available around the world for a bit now. I have to wonder how much of SF's target audience imports

Outside of this forum? Probably not a whole lot (I mean, there are still people that get wound up over ratings logos on the packaging). There's also the realization that the included Blus are region locked so people that haven't upgraded to UHD just yet ("futureproofing") or want to dive into extras are SOL if they're not region free. Plus, throw a slipcover on and fans will go crazy (the slip for the original "They Live" release can go for silly money by itself).

The only release I would re buy would be The Fog, SC transfer leaves room for a lot of improvement.

I found it to be the best encoded one out of the four SC Carpenter UHDs, yep, the only time it fell apart was the bright flares during the raid on the church.

Not rebuying this even if FiM did the encoding (which I doubt).

I'll stick with my studio canal unless something ends up being better on this release whether it be pq/aq or extras, this is my fav Carpenter movie so I would buy it again
