All these positive reviews of the 3D will make the potential failure of putting this out on bluray 3d even more disappointing…

Oh my gosh, the stereo is really good. I am going to watch it again ASAP! There are so many IMAX sequences and they really framed them so deliberately for that aspect ratio to the extent that a scope version would be significantly inferior. This has some of the best sci-fi space 3D shots I can remember... I'm still thinking about the planetary asteroid ring!

The movie is also just simply fun in general, the hate I'm seeing online is somewhat disappointing. Almost seems like a similar situation as with Elemental - terrible marketing, good movie with excellent 3D. Go see it! It's not a masterwork (wtf was that villain, or lack thereof?) but it's a blast.

How was the 3D space vs the 3D space in Transformers RotB?

I saw ROTB in the same IMAX 3D screen as I saw The Marvels (at the same inconvenient 4PM only-3d-showing time too!). The early all-cgi sections, including the brief space shots, featured the best 3D in that movie as far as I can recall. There is also a great shot in that movie with planetary asteriods!

ROTB opening (a few frames later overtaken by Unicron lol):

The Marvels (from trailer):

Bonus (a favourite of mine) Monsters vs Aliens opening:

That is a recurring image I enjoy a lot in stereo!

Unfortunately, ROTB had fairly weak 3D in my opinion, including the space shots and definitely not enough sequences featuring strong 3D period. I wish I could revisit it but it never released on home 3D :/ My favourite 3D space shots in Transformers would probably be those from Dark of the Moon, and thankfully that one is on disc!

Saw the iMax 3D version today (Thursday) and it was the best 3D I've seen in a very long time. It was truly amazing. We enjoyed the movie as well. It was way better than we had anticipated.

Great to hear that the 3D is also very well done & "amazing" in part 2.

Just spitballing but I wonder if the shorter run time allowed the conversion team more time as there were less shots to do.

There is no indication that its not coming out on MovieNEX 3D Blu-Ray set like the others since Black Widow.

Thats true. I think the only risk comes with the fact, that this is a new business year 2024 when it hopefuly comes out. New year, new decissions?

Hope Disney is open minded for 3D content in 2024. Seeing Strange world as an first time digital release for Apple i could also imagine some non Marvel 3D Blu-ray titles licenced to a label in Germany.

Stunning 3D on par with the first Captain Marvel movie.
This will be a crying shame if this isn’t released on 3D blu-ray.

Oh, and it’s a fun movie that doesn’t overstay its welcome. Don’t listen to the haters check it out for yourself if for no other reason than the top tier 3D.

But there's no guarantee either. There are changes afoot with MovieNEX...

Let’s hope Marvels gets the green light even if it’s the last one.

Lets hope so. I really want this on 3D disc & Dead Pool 3.

Is it confirmed that Dead Pool 3 will be 3D? I still doubt it, because of the R Rating...

Would be a crying shame for the JP 3D blu rays to cease, so fingers crossed for this one, the 3D sounds great.

I don't think anything has been confirmed in that regard yet.

Called it! It’s nice to be right all the time!
