What I like is that the 876 has the ability to bridge the left and right speakers.
What do you mean by that?

bridge? is that what you are asking. if so, I can give more power to my front RF63s instead of just running them in biamp mode like I used to. Most receivers let you biamp by using the surround back channels for the woofers and tweeter. This receiver gives you the option to run them normal, biamp, or bridge. by using the surround back + speaker terminal and the front right or left + speaker teminal, you can run them in bridge mode meaning they will get around 200 watts instead of the 140.

Yes the bridge thing is what I was asking about, and thanks for the explanation. I wasn't aware any components had such a feature.

Well I just rewatched Band Of Brothers last night the first 3 episodes...which at the first time watching I did not have all my speakers hooked up yet. And I will say I just can't get enough of my Klipsch speakers they sound SOOOO amazing! This was my first "real" HT purchase in the audio department and I am glad I went with Klipsch. Now being addicted just as everyone else seems to be for the most part I am already thinking about upgrading to the RC-64 which I heard is leaps and bounds that of the RC-62 as well as the possibility of the Emotiva 200 w per channel AMP, which will drive the speakers to where they should be opposed to my weak 95 w per channel Onkyo 605...Just some thoughts but boy oh boy I love Klipsch! Thanks again guys for persuading me to go this route!~

Just keep in mind you can only do this in 2.0/2.1 channel mode.

If he's going Heritage or Palladium (which I doubt, ) - it should be Klipsch, no problem. If he's going with DefTech Bipolar towers, I would say those easily over the Reference line. I've never personally heard the Icon line, so I can't comment on those. But the rest I have heard myself, and if its the BPs...Definitely over the RFs! (pun intended)

I would take Def Tech over Klipsch for everything but the Palladium's (incredible speakers, but I'm biased cause I'm probably getting a pair this summer , unless I'm wooed away by something else-aka the Von Schweikerts I'm auditioning here soon, sorry off topic), but I've never heard the Heritage line. The Icon line did nothing for me.

I have the Icons and like them quite alot actually. Are there better speakers? sure. But these Icons are pretty impressive in my opinion.

DM (Marantz,Denon,McIntosh) was bought by BAIL (Dunkin Donughts, Burger King) - says he will make Marantz open to all who will sell it (no longer specialty market)

guess they didn't get the sales figures from the 80's and early 90's in the deal.

Wes Phillips reviews the Palladium P-39F's in the June issue of Sterophile. Overall, very good review, an impressive speaker. What else would you expect for 20g's.

Although Wes does somewhat of a disservice to these new Klipsch's by comparing them with the 100K YG Reference Anat's. Way not cool Wes.

I just realized that I have not chimed in on this thread yet! I am a proud owner of Klipsch for 14 years now!

I love my Klipsch Reference series. They work well with any receiver and the make my television stand out. If I had to do it again, I should have gotten the 83RF and the 64 Center channel. I would have been in heaven!
