I've found out I've developed a zero-tolerance policy lately.
Too many times has a movie experience been screwed up because I stayed quiet.

I have an Unlimited Gold Card for the theater so I go to quite a lot of movies, and if people are bothering me with excessive talking, cell phones and/or are constantly kicking the back of my chair I immediately ask them to stop doing that. I can ask once, twice if I'm in a good mood, but if they don't quit I text the theater.

As for eating; I don't mind popcorn etc, but sometimes people illegally bring in the weirdest things.
I recall a couple who had brought a smoked salmon plate complete with toast. The smell was horrible!
I'm sorry, but if you're going to be that inconsiderate towards the people sitting around you, I have no problem in reporting your fishy behaviour

If people can get away with that, then I may try taking McNuggets and chips to the cinema at some point.

Yeah, it's not allowed to bring your own consumptions, but they don't really check.
I always bring my own water because I refuse to pay €3 for a bottle.

But this was nuts. And smelly

It's funny that most folks are watching movies at home to avoid the loud talkers at the cinema. I normally have to go to the theater for the opposite effect, to (hopefully) avoid the constant chatter on the couch beside me.

I often find I have a horse that doesn't know how to close it's mouth while eating popcorn near me, and I get to enjoy loud crunching for half an hour.

The only thing worse is when that horse has a plate of tortilla chips with cheese dip, and I get to enjoy a crunching sound that goes beautifully with almost any movie!

I've often thought if I had my own theatre the only concession I'd sell would be nice soft marshmallows

Oh well...., I usually manage to avoid these kinds of people by going to late shows a couple weeks after a movie is released.

Just don't try to think of the most harmless thing.

I can't stand being in a theater with a lot of people. I go to the last showings of the day, and after the film has been out a few weeks. It's empty almost all of the time.

I'm pretty sure in Australia they ruled it that cinemas can't stop you from bringing your own stuff in. I walked into a cinema yesterday with a McDonalds large Sprite and they checked my ticket but didn't say anything about the drink.

Ugh my ex and his friends were always so obnoxious when I took him to the theaters! He kept shouting out spoilers when I took him to see The Fault in Our Stars and got us kicked out. Needless to say I dumped him the very next day. When I'm in the theaters I like to be alone so nobody annoys me or my buzz.

Most people are inconsiderate a s s h o l e s. That's why I rarely go to the movies anymore. And after shitty experiences at the last few concerts I've been to (people yelling in your ear, stealing assigned seats, drunks pushing and shoving folks around them or starting fights), I'm considering not attending unless it's something close to a "once in a lifetime experience."

If I'm at home, I can pause the movie to discuss, go to the bathroom, get a drink/snack, etc.
