Question Few questions for people that have HD DVD

Hi All,

I am doing a paper for a marketing class. These questions are only for people that used to own HD DVD and now have move to Blu-ray format. This is just to solicit your opinion - just opinion.

Thank you in advance.
Joseph

What is your gender?
What is your age?
What are the top 3 reasons that you switch from HD DVD to Blu-ray format?
Are there things HD DVD could do to to retain your loyalty?

This is a funny thread. It sounds like they are getting pretty desperate over at Hd-DUD central if they have to ask their former customers why they are leaving the crap format behind.

Default Simple question

Mr. Blu-light,

This is merely a research project that my team at school is doing. This is a very typical way to doing research, that is merely asking what customers is looking for .... and also, ask both the existing HD DVD customers as well as ex-HD DVD owners. Since this is a Blu-ray forum, I figure there should be some folks that used to own HD DVD .......

So, did you used to own a HD DVD? if yes, why did you switch? (3 reasons)

As for the desparation, you have to know that the battle of words .... which we don't need to go into .... as for me? I am a totally unbiased student that does not have either platform.

Thank you,
Joseph

I have BD first, then HD DVD.....
My loyalty is always with BD. I never ever loved HD DVD. I got 3 BD players, and 1 HD DVD player. Well, one of BD and HD DVD are actually computer drive.

If I were a HD DVD fans, then switched to BD, my answer would be more well-known studio support, higher quality of audio, more capacity, supported by PS3, higher bandwith.

fortunately, that never happened to me as I sided with BD from the beginning

If you want specs, go right here:

That will give you the breakdown.

Lossless audio......better PQ.......all Blu Players do 1080p...........not all of the Toshibas do. I'm not sure if many people will see & hear the difference but they do exist nonetheless.

And welcome to the forum Joseph.

Default is this true

How many of you still have HD DVD player?
Not too many feedback here from folks that used to have HD DVD player. It seems not too many feedback. I wonder if there aren't too many of folks that switch from HD DVD to Blu-ray.
