Thor Review Thread (Spoilers) - Page 7 - Blu-ray Forum

I am pretty excited for Thor in 2011, but i just realised something... the beggining of May 2011 is when Spidey 4 comes out! I never thought i'd see 2 superhero movies in the same month, but i'm more excited for Spidey.

Marvel movies always has this nice feel to them when you watch them; i'm hoping Thor will be a pretty brutal movie!

They are most likely going to be spread throughout the year when/if they do so.

One early, one to start the summer, one to late in it, and one towards the end of the year would be my guess.

That sounds like a new thread but i dont know how to make one lol. How many blockbuster comic book movies would you see in one summer or one year.

It will be interesting to compare Thor to Spider-Man 4. In it's prime, Spider-Man was considered one the the best superhero movie franchises but I think Iron Man and The Incredible Hulk do outclass it; if Thor and Spider-Man follow suit in their respective franchises I have a feeling that Thor will blow Spider-Man out of the water. "Heroes are fogotten, legends never die".

I love thor so i would love to see that but i doubt it will ever happen.Everyone and their dog knows who spiderman is not to many really get into thor. Add that to the fact that this will be thors first movie i dont think it will touch spiderman. One good thing is at least marvel is putting thor out there alot in the animated stuff so maybe that will help.

I am a really big thor fan and i am wondering, is the disney take over of marvel going to change the direction they were going with the thor movie and for marvel in general? do you all think this is going to be a good thing in the long run? how long do you think it will be before we see a photo of the actor portraying thor in costume holding that hammer, or at least see what the hammer will look like?

You know what may also help would be since this is marvel, so if they could pull off a new intro cameo or two like say dr strange or the black panther that would be pretty nice also.

I dont think the disney takeover will have any effect on thor and i guess we will see his look in iron man 2 , I hope they use the old hammer and that he just flies because he is a god and doesnt fly by swinging his hammer really really fast like in the comics as i dont think that would look to good.

I agree with the part about the old hammer, i hate the one used in the avengers movies and in the mavel heros game but, i do like the swinging of the hammer, again i've been a thor fan for almost 40 years and in comics, that's the way he flies, by throwing the hammer and holding onto it. OK, i'll give in as long as he is required to hold the hammer in his hand while flying! He however must swing it at times for massive throwing strikes, how about that for a compromise!?!

i also agree with the part about Dr. Strange or perhaps one of the Gods of Olympus, say Hercules or Zeus!

That sounds good he flies as long as he is holding it but not swinging it .And when fighting he should swing it to hurl it at something i also agree.But i dont know if they should bring in other gods like herc or zeus not in the first movie but maybe later on. The first should be thor and loki. And maybe later for a little beta ray bill also lol.

never really cared for "Bill" myself. but, to keep in the marvel movie making thus far, (recently anyways) there should be an appearance of someone new at the very end of the movie just before or just after the credits. perhaps it should be someone who will be in the Avengers since this is what this is all leading up to!
